In the adagio, as in all of Bruckner's music, the austrian composer expresses a great solemnity and a feeling of hope and of an expected triumph of good, in the harmony of creation and in (Divine) justice.

No, Seven nation army sounds like this. It's been said the stripes stole it, but I think it's more a theme than a particular melody. Could be wrong tho
@HyperionResident
@HyperionResident 3 года назад
@@n.d.miller1543 I don't think they "stole it". I myself once came up with a theme that bore some resemblance to the Telemann Sonata (first movement of my symphony which is on my channel), it's even in the same key - but I had never heard that work before nor had I even heard of Telemann until someone pointed it out. It's theoretically possible that I heard it in the background at some point in my life and subconsciously recalled it, though I think it's more likely to just be a coincidence. Same could be said for The White Stripes. I somehow doubt they were listening through Bruckner looking for material to take lol
@n.d.miller1543
@n.d.miller1543 3 года назад
@@HyperionResident I didn't say they did, I said that it is said they did. Also, my point is more one of chronological order. In the same way that you say a child looks like a parent , less often the other way around.
@HyperionResident
@HyperionResident 3 года назад
@@n.d.miller1543 Well I wasn't disputing you specifically, but rather the claim itself just in case anyone reading actually thinks that lol. It just doesn't seem very likely, all things considered. Your point is also correct, but sadly the vast majority of people are not familiar with Bruckner or his works, like at all, so for them it would be the proverbial child, even though it's not that way at all lol

@aguador67
@aguador67 4 года назад
@industrialengineer3269
@industrialengineer3269 2 года назад

I'm listening to Bruckner's Symphonies and watching the Olympic's Judo competition on TV The losers in women's Judo at the Olympics invariably break down in tears on the spot . The loser sinks into the reflections of her own faintly luck and poor technique . I can't help but feel deep sympathy and tears for these women as they grieve . There is always a time for everyone to get back on track . Go for it ! Hang in there ! You are wonderful Judoist women who are part of the traditional Japanese martial arts . HvK loses this symphony in the 2nd movement and never recovers it. Although Celibidache was known for slowness and long lines he could keep the sheer action of this most original work together. Karajan with the VPO in 1954 had the grasp of it in all its colors and structural cohesion but here it is a mess of badly glued parts. Careless.
