Paul Williams is a MACHINE. well Underrated boxing ability and fight IQ as many only attribute his success to his size but paul had such great fluidity,footwork and punch selection regardless of his size.

It makes you wonder how long Margarito was loading his gloves with plaster of paris prior to getting caught. Considering that Margarito KO'd and TKO'd Kermit Cintron and Miguel Coto after fighting Williams, chances are pretty good his gloves were loaded in the Williams fight too, but Paul Williams was a beast and beat his ass anyway! After getting caught red handed, Margarito was never the same fighter thereafter, and Coto beat him handily in their rematch a few years later. Plaster of Paris is quick-setting gypsum plaster consisting of a fine white powder (calcium sulfate hemihydrate), which hardens like a rock after being moistened and allowed to dry.

Thanks for uploading. Paul was really incredible. It's too bad he didn't get any big fights with the big names of his era. Would have loved to seen how either Floyd or Cotto would have done against him. His height and skill would have been problems for either one of them.
I honestly think that Paul Williams would've given Floyd some problems. He'd probably get countered every now and then by Floyd but his frequent use of his jab, length, and southpaw stance would prove troublesome for Floyd. Miguel Cotto would probably fare worse unless he found a way to get on the inside and dig in some left hooks to the body which was his forte around his prime in 2006-2007. Still, I don't think Cotto was quick and explosive enough to get in close range and Paul Williams' reach advantage would be far too much for Cotto. Considering that Margarito couldn't pressure Williams and has a longer wingspan than Cotto and lost, I don't see Cotto winning either.

Margarito started using Plaster of Paris in his gloves after he lost to Danial Santos. So yes Williams beat a guy who could throw 100 punches a round for 12 rounds without getting tired, had a granite chin and had cement in his gloves! Williams was unreal.

@@thegoat8682 What does (Plaster or peril) mean? He was caught using the plaster hardening material during the Paul Williams fight. That was the first and only time he was caught putting bricks in his gloves but it makes you wonder exactly how many times he got away with it, (for example the Cotto fight), before finally getting caught.

Margarito and El Terrible are my favorite fighters I don't care what anyone says about Margarito, there was zero evidence of him ever using plaster of Paris against any opponent. He didn't use it against Mosley it was found before the fight.
Margarito doesn’t have shit for Floyd. You can make a case for Williams. Margarito has none of the attributes you need to beat somebody like Floyd. It would look like this fight with less punches coming from Floyd obviously.

You don’t know boxing. So you telling me you can win a round getting hit and not punching back? If you’re just getting hit with punches, blocking them, dodging them etc. and you’re not throwing anything back you’re being outworked.
@@200littleman Margarito took a while to get going in this fight, but those first 4 or 5 rounds where Williams was supposedly dominating were overstated. He was doing work but it wasn't very efficient. He was either missing or Marg was catching a lot of it on his gloves

It doesn’t matter if they weren’t landing clean or you were blocking them or if you were counterpunching every once in a while. If you standing right there letting the mf hit you, you’re losing.
