Only recently bigger artists has become interested on trying out for eurovision and i don't think that even other countries have their biggest artists going to eurovision. Antti is the Finnish king of pop who's history from the hate he got from finnish people for many years until one day he started making more "funny/parody like" music that you can see here now. Went from people saying to off himself and labeled as gay etc. to being the hottest shit in the radio.
idk if anyone will answer this since this is an old video lol but in the last song, Treenaa, I noticed that he's not rolling his 'r's like you would normally in Finnish. Is there a reason? Just curious!
Ok my explanation might sound wierd but it's from an interview. Tuisku told that when they were making the song he sang "normally" in finnish but they thought that something didn't work on the song and they weren't sure what. When they were recording, the producer Jurek was sorry that he couldn't use same recording settings with Tuisku and some american musicians he was working woth too, because finns have stronger consonants. Tuisku tried to sing in "american way" in finnish and surprisingly they thought that it sounded much better with 'Treenaa'.
Too much job for me, but I can tell you the point. First he is singig a little clip of his song "Kipee" and it is about burnout and body aching. When your body is so tired that you can't even cry anymore. This song was just reliesed few days ago and many burnout/stressed/depressed/hurting people has liked this a lot. Then he goes to the next song "Bisnes" and he sings about looks and how people are making money by they're bodies. It's a sarcastic song. Then the third one is "Treenaa". It is a workout song, but also it has a lot of humour. He is singing that when you workout, you don't get a hangover.
Josnu H explained it perfectly, I would add just that these 3 songs combined like this was really nice, as their story can be also be seen in reverse order: the last song Treenaa - you need to workout like crazy (and indeed, don't drink so no hangover :D) and be the first in the gym. Then you get too serious about it - 2nd song Bisnes - and you need all the best equipment, perfect body and selfies as your bicep, calves, six pack and a$$ are your business now. All this results in Kipee, total burnout, full body ache, somehow making it home after work and just dying on the couch. Yet this was the starting point of the show, so to cure this ache, maybe you just need to workout more, and so the cycle continues. Absolutely brilliant Antti!
It also has to be added that Antti Tuisku (the performer) is a huge exercise junkie himself and even does some of his sport training with professional Finnish athletes. After he started doing music more with his own conditions, his songs have included more (bi)sexual innuendos, humor, and references to sports, work, and modern commercial life style. Beforehand he used to sing basic, studio-produced pop songs that were sweet but very tame and generic. That shows how effective being authentic and true to yourself can be in show business.
@@samstarba4569 juu, en ottanut kantaa mikä oikein tai väärin. Mietin vaan onko tyyli muuttunut tuohon suuntaan tms. Kyllä mä omia suosikki artisteja pystyn arvioimaan/arvostelemaan jos muuttuvat tai muuttavat tyyliään (esim. Kaupallisempaan suuntaan tms.). Mietin vaan oliko tämä Tuiskua vai jotenkin euroviisuihin duunattua kamaa.
Itse en tykkää Antti Tuiskusta. Ääni on todella naisellinen plus esiintyminen on erittäin oksettavaa.
