Anubis is more than definitely not the worst God. He's not even fucking close

The worst God in the game is Tyr. Cuz. He's Tyr-rable.

I'm diamond Anubis. All you have to do is build double lifesteal. It doesn't matter if you have to be rooted, you heal it all back. Late game you're unkillable if you're playing decent and aren't behind.

Tbh when Anubis wraps me and follows up its usually an insta kill

Tips i've learned: get power and not cdr. You want to kill anyone who threatens you asap, not cast more often. You'll be killed before you cast a 2nd time. Also, lifesteal is mandatory because of his passive. Pythagorem's piece is king because it gives 25% lifesteal which becomes 50% from passive. You are online after shoes of magi, thoth, and pythagorem.

How funny is it that I was just asking you for tips on competitive move while also saying that I main Anubis, and then you made this video. Although he might not have much mobility, there are items that can amp it up or instead weigh the scales into his core strengths such as his passive with life steal and protection stealing. He is the one that I've won a lot of 1v1 leagues as. It's kinda strange to hear someone say that his kit needs work, when his kit is the one I'm the most comfortable with out of all other gods. What I mean to say is that I don't feel the same way on his competitive standing. He can do really well all by himself.

Hey, Raynday. My friend had the idea of attack speed Poseidon and I thought "We should sumbit that for RAyn's DARE ME! series." So, here I am. The items are Shoes of the Magi, Telekhine's Ring, Demonic Grip, Hastened Fatalis, Polynomicon, and Rod of Tahuti. You can choose the order, but those are the items. Have fun making your opponents suffer the wrath of his trident (or wet noodle if you use Poolseidon).

ok im pissed. People think anubis is bad, not only because of his lack of mobility, but also a few other key points. ready? im gonna say it. They arent good at anubis. Playing anubis is completely different than every single god in the game, and he has a play style that not even professionals are doing. you need to take full advantage of his early game wave clear, and you need to mess them up early, but the thing that pisses me off the most is how slow people are. Anubis will kill anyone in the game with a 3 4. Thats final. Unless your build is absoute trash, you will. However, no idiot is giong to stay still to get hit by all of your 3 4 so, you need to 2. we all know this. but what some ppl dont know is that they are plain slow. You need to be able to shoot a 2, place your 3, and start you ult, as the two is hitting, i do this, good anubis players do this, and it kills the enemies in usually less than 2 seconds. Please, if you want to experience this, friend and message: Qazztheqazz. I can show you the potential of anubis, and how, lets say, at 2:34, raynday (luv u btw) fucked up. He took WAYYYY too long to 2. 180 degrees snap 2s are so important as anubis, they give him his "escape" this is why you always max out your 2 after your 3. if raynday was fast, he would have stopped thor after maybe the first tick of his 3, and ran and would have had time to juke and escape. Also building with anubis. a good build? Sash, pen boots, Bancrofts, Pyth, obsidian, and tahut. That will give you extra survivibility and plenty of sustain and damage. dont know why they just dont give him a swarm escape where he turns into the Hive and can move fast but cant attack that way he could move simple i love anubis and more then likely my best god but he needs other gods to back him up

Question: Would Athena's ability Confound help with Anubis play due to getting the heat off of him, letting the non-mobile ability finish and him run away with his increased movement speed? Or perhaps if there's only one god on him getting a god with a pull ability to stop them in their tracks or one step better and most hard CC moves? I'm probably looking too much into this, but it seems that these might be simple solutions. Tell me what wrong with these please since I'm probably overlooking something.

Being able to move it ult, slower or at the same speep while still being CC free? Changing 1 to speed boost, jump, teleport, or damage that's not dealt with ticks?

I don't believe that there a "worst God" but I do think that smite needs gods like Anubis because he is easy to learn to play and do well with even if that's in casual mode and you need that for new players

Erleng Shen is deff the worst god in the game. His passive ability dog just doesnt do enough to make him viable as a warrior. Seems like a sad copy of skadi to me. Just kidding. I think the worst god right now that needs more attention in becoming competative is Kulkulkan. Sure his damage is off the charts but his ult is easily seen a mile away and the tornado is only really good at minion clearling. Plus his self speed buff thing doesnt do enough to really make him mobile.

for me it's a tie between Sylvanus and Bakasura. Sylvanus: The Relic system took away a lot of his early pressure, which is now not as worth as late game potential, and he is completely canceled by weakening curse. If his healing were to be increased though, I think he would climb back to being a top pick, or at least a solid pick. Bakasura: Now don't get me wrong, I love bakasura. He was my first god I played back when I started in Season One and I still love him (his old form that is). Bakasura is no means bad, but he is a relic of the past. When he was introduced smite was all about minions, but now it is no longer like that. He needs minions to sustain and to ult, and it takes time for him to clear due to the HoG nerf/removal. All other gods can clear the wave 2-3x faster then him and basically kill him if he isn't paying attention. His minions are also extremely weak, and its easy to predict what he is going to do. If he wants to come back on top he is going to need more ability to sustain and clear wave, and is going to have to have his minions buffed.

As a Nu Wa player, I'm also pretty sad about the issue of "Other mages do your job better", even though she's not NEARLY as bad off as Anubis. Still, (shakes fist at Janus, Scylla, Raijin, and Isis)

I think that slightly shortening and narrowing his 1 cone but allowing him to move or making his 3 some kind of leap/dash that still creates the AOE but making the AOE a lot smaller and reducing the damage

This is an idea that I've had for a while, and what's great about it is that it keeps Anubis' kit as it is, while at the same time giving him mobility; not the best mobility as to keep him not super op, but mobility nonetheless. So here's the idea: what if Anubis' 3 (grasping hands) acted also as a teleport, similar to Scylla's 3. Now keep in mind that while this would mean that he would have to place down his main damaging ability in order to teleport, it still keeps his kit intact. Does it make it tricky between balancing using your 3 for combos, clear, ect? Yes, but if you can learn to do that you have access to an Anubis who has the exact same kit as he's always had who now also has mobility.

i think anubis should have a teleport.like on his 3rd Ability - Grasping hands,he should be able teleport into the area and gain a little shield like nemesis for about 1 sec or so.This will make him really good and help him survive better.What do you think guys?

I mean, what if they increased the max number of stacks he can gain on his passive? Have him take less damage and/or increase lifesteal while he is using his 1 and Ult? Both?

What about if his 1 doesn't go in a cone, but in a circle around him as he runs AND slows those within the aoe? Hi-Rez pls

What about adding protections to his #1, locusts? Since he's not mobile, passive movement speed (as they already did) and defenses would make more sense no? I just wouldn't give protections on his ultimate.

how about this to add mobility to his kit...add a teleport to his grasping hands but to balance make grasping hands end once he teleports to the area

I think they should delay the animation in his 3 so when the hands come up 2 seconds later then they get stuck in a mummy wrap type thing and remove mummy wrap then replace mummy wrap with solething like kukuls speed buff to make him a little bit more mobile

It would be great if you could move in your first ability as well, or have your 3 increase your speed considerably, like Skadi's.

They could change his passive to something that would give him a buff for his mobilty. Or if he walked over his 3 he gets a speed boost or something like that

You could get rid of his mummify for a movement ability and make it so you can be moving why his locusts and have both his one and his three add a minor slow so he could still be able to use his ult effectively

I honestly love using anubis he is so much fun and the way i counteract his lack of mobility is grab sprint at the start and stay back. I use raps to set up ganks and the other abilities for lane clear the ult is saved for its cc immunity so i can avoid grabbing that purification when the enemy team has ares

Anubis's stun should have a second ability like susanos 3 where if you press it again you'll teleport to it. It could be used as an escape or as an initiation ability. To keep it balanced I say that you can't teleport to it if it's stuck to someone. Therefore preventing the 3,2,1/4 combo from being way too easy.

Catching loki with that wrap when he tries to kill you, and than you kill him... feels good everytime

i think anubis would be playable in ranked if they added movement speed to his passive (i know his passive already does a lot of things) like 5% movement speed for every tick hit by his abilities and if it would be too op they could replace the cc reduction from his passive and transform it into movement speed, as i said 5% per tick i think would be perfect.

Allow Anubis to move at 60% movement speed while channeling his 1 (reduce base damage and scaling slightly if that's op) and change CC reduction in his passive to movement speed so it would compliment his 1. His ult is fine because it has long range and does loads of damage. Just an idea, any thoughts about this?

How do I join your clan? At the moment I play with a friend and his clan, the typical toxic players that have been playing ranked for years or what ever crying about how people are aids or cancer and are just not fun to be around. I don't even bother asking to party up with them since i've only been on for a few months and not that good.

I was a little confused when I saw this tittle because in most matches I play, against an Anubis, they seem OP and I get rekt quite frequently. So I'm glad you cleared that up, though to be fair I haven't played a whole lot of competitive yet😂

How about change a small change his kit to make him "safer" like when a target is killed while under the affect of his mummify he permanently gains a stacking buff to some things I first thought of something among the lines a permanent armor increase but I feel like that would be to hard to balance let me what you guys think :)

Idk why but ever since I saw Anubis's death animation I always had to this idea, basically by making it so you can reactivate your ability Grasping Hands and allow Anubis to be sucked into the ground and reappear in the middle of his skeletal hands. Idk this is just me, but I would love to see Hi-Rez implement this.

I think they should change his first ability. The problem I have with Anubis isn't necessarily his mobility, but how his damage is dealt. All of his abilities do a form of creeping damage. Now, I'm a Scylla and Isis main, so I prefer bursts of damage to secure the kill with good mobility. I think if they made his Plague of Locusts work like AMCs Swarm of Bees, where there is an initial burst of damage then creep damage for a few seconds afterward, then I think I would play Anubis more. It gives him more back line status, rather than up front like he is now. He isn't tanky enough to be front line.

+Raynday Gaming I do agree with you that he is bad, I can kill him very easy when he uses his abilities by standing still. Did you win this match?

They should allow him to move freely on his 1, that would help a lot... Like no penalty for moving so he can hit you while moving to escape/engage

Even if mobility is a problem, why not choose a certain strategy based on what gods your team, and, or enemy team is using or equip him with certain items to compensate for his flaws?

I think they should give him a passive where if he mummy wraps or slows someone he would get a speed boost

I think I know a good way to balance Anubis. If they were to buff his base def when he activates death gaze and locusts. For example when activates locusts he gains +10 physical def and magical def when he use death gaze he gains +15 physical and magical def until it ends I think that's a good way of helping he no mobility and still keeping true to his original kite design

if he needed movement. maybe they should update mummify to ALSO launch you in the direction you're moving. so if you're backpedaling, you go backwards and shoot out a bandage, if you go foward, then youd charge behind the bandage XD

they said on stream that they wont change him they like him the way he is and an other reason why he is nit picked in spl is because one of his best parts of his kit is that he can clear wave at level 1 but rajin and kkk and scylla can do this do but their safer and dish out the same damage(rajin ult or scylla or kkk ults are also painfull)

I have an idea for a dare me for sun wukong I call it 95 % crit chance when at low life with added benefits like asi or bulwark of hope

Sun Wukong could use a tweak for a buff, and it'd be raising to passive health threshold to 50%. I understand this might break him, but it might not. But overall he's pretty fun, but I feel that due to the presence of just two gods with executes that he's really vulnerable and can't make use of his entire kit.

Great video as always! I love the commentary. If I had to criticize your videos, I would say that sometimes you do a little too much of everything. For example: in your how to videos I would like more straight information and less shout casting. Sometimes it takes you awhile to finish your point because you get caught up in the moment calling out the plays. I really liked this video because it was focus on the commentary, and I got to watch some amazing Anubis game play. Thanks so much for all you do! I am a big fan and watch as often as I can :) I agree, leave Anubis alone. Not all Gods need to be competitive in the SPL.
