It should be obvious, but vision and movement are inseparable. Importantly, vision doesn't mean how well you see for clarity, in other words 20/20 isn't what vision means.
Vision is how our brain processes what we see and movement is the muscular output in response to the visual input and processing. Visual clarity is a very small part of our brain's overall vision processing duties. Most of what we use our visual system for is figuring out where we are in relation to the external world, and where objects are in relation to us.
Unfortunately none of this is fully appreciated, even to physical therapists, doctors, and movement specialists. While it's known that we use our eyes, it's not well understood how we use our vision to move us forward. Postural Restoration does understand these things.

I have all the diseas manifestation of someone who has chronic stress. I've had glasses, but yesterday was the 1st time I was with a behavioral optometrist along with my PRI therapist and I cannot wait to get my new glasses as I experience a different life with the lenses the od had me in. My autonomic system has been screwed for over a decade and I am looking forward to what I become after the glasses.

Ohh, your vision may feel fine but there can be soo many things lurking in the background that you wouldn't even think are connected to vision, like balance, unity of body, dyslexia, anxiety, over-stimulation.... it's a very long list!

It would be interesting to see dental, vision and medical, physio services joined up. I've learned you CANNOT talk to your optician about dental issues and vice versa which is a shame as it would really help.

I’m legally blind and have an eye disease that’s causing me to keep losing more and more sight. Am I screwed? I’ve been seeing a PRI specialist for awhile now and I can’t feel any changes

I had the same exact symptoms/panic attack as you and it happened at the airport too! Had multiple episodes after that which lasted around a week until i got my prism glasses. It was horrible.. the symptoms only appear when i got better at left stance.

Your regular eye doc is gonna examine how your eyes focus independantly (20/20 etc.) and maybe take a look at your optic nerve to see if its healthy. Turns out that humans need their eyes to work TOGEATHER in a binocular SYSTEM. There are muscular, structural, postural and skeletal aspects to this that an average eye doc WILL ABSOLUTELY NOT EXAMINE and send you on your way. If your eye doc dosent examine binocularity thats the equivalent of trying to get a jiffy lube to work on your cars engine, they aint fuckin qualified.

Hi Neal ,quick question, what about sleeping position with lateral pelvic tilt.I've started to Force my sleeping position and often I Wake up at night (maybe because of that, but I'm not sure) Thanks for all your work ,it helps
@biyas01
@biyas01 3 года назад
I dont think there is any hard rule for sleeping. From personal experiences, the more i started to force my sleeping position, more pain i got and more sleepless nights alongwith anxiety.from the day i started stop forcing my sleeping position, my sleeping improved, as well as pain reduced. Dont know this will help you or not, just remember that This pattern is just not physical, more force may create more tension and anxiety . At least that happened with me. Just LET GO approach improved my sleeping.

I notice you wear glasses, not contact lenses? I also wear glasses because I was advised they were "healthier". But before I would wear just a left contact lens, purely because it's half the work and expense, and it gave me good peripheral vision. And you say the lack of peripheral vision might impede the left side. So what gives, man!
