How you can add a navigation shortcut from Google Maps on your home screen on any android. If you remember the old navigation arrow this I similar where you just open the icon and enter your address to get the destination. Makes it easier to navigate since some really liked the old navigation arrow. This is the next best thing and it will work on pretty much any android as long as you update your google maps to the latest version. Let me know if you like this.

I started using a launcher app (Evie) and couldn't find this for the life of me even though I was using it before with the stock launcher. Nice video. No loud music blaring, just the facts. Thanks.

This was helpful, but like Richard, I'm trying to add a link to a specific destination. On my grandmother's phone I want to add a Navigate Home shortcut.

Vince Pale Jr 1. Long press an empty area on the home screen. 2. Select Widgets 3. Choose Maps 4. Hold the "Directions" widget and place it on the home screen 5. It should prompt you for a destination (like home or work) and a label.
