When you say open source, what value that actually has is- the ACE could be adapted to be used on other printers running Klipper. (*With some tool head creations) The Kobra 3 isn't anything new to the market, it's the color changing capability that isn't a DIY kit and isn't Bambu. I have no idea why there isn't more emphasis on the multicolor capabilities by the reviewers of this combo.
I just pre ordered this from Anycubics ebay shop.. On the description and info it says the slicer software is AnycubicSlicer/Cura and it can use PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA, PET, PA, PC, PP,HIPS materials and if they do open source that will be brilliant.
please answer the question "This printer can print ABS and other abrasive materials when you don't want to print in color, that is, directly from the spool to the extruder without the ACE PRO. And if I enclose it, could it print ABS, polycarbonate, or nylon?"
I just got that printer, I want to edit some colors on a 3d model I just downloaded, got the g-code but on the screen it only appears as one color...what do I need to do to set the colors right? I'm a big fan of yours!!!
I have a Kobra 2 Plus. I can upgrade the firmware wirelessly but it's not opensource. Looking forward the Kobra 3 Combo, put my preorder in this morning.
Let's ask the big question.... Kobra 3 Combo vs A1 Combo? I have my pre order but if the A1 is significantly better than I'm going to cancel it and change. The dryer is great but if the printer is problematic then it's of no use
Hello, I have a question. The depth of the printer is 504.7 mm . When the printer is in operation, does the printing plate move beyond this limit or is 504.7 mm the maximum size in operation . For me the printer is in a box and it can't be larger than 504.7 otherwise I can't close the door.
Can you check if you can swap out rolls of filament while its printing? This is a common trick people use on the bambu lab p1s/x1c printers with only 1 AMS but want to print models that have more than 4 colors. For example I might have a 6 color print that i send to my p1s with 1 ams, lets say its a tall rectangle with 6 even sections that are different colors. After 3 hours into the print its on the 3rd color of that print and the first color of that print will not show up for the rest of the print so I open the AMS and pull that filament out while the print is printing and put in color 5 of the 6 color print. Lets Say that the print is 4 hours into the 6 color print and on the 4th color change and I know that the second color that was used for this print will no longer show up for the rest of this print so I pull out that 2nd color and put in the 6th color for this print. By doing this I am able to do a 6 color print on one ams for the bambu lab printer. Can this be done for Anycubic's kobra 3 ace combo?
Parliamoci chiaramente, meglio anycubic o bambulab?!?!?!? Ne ho da acquistare 5 pezzi ma il prezzo anycubic alletta ma dall'altra parte la sicurezza bambulab anche ... attendo cortese riscontro Grazie 😊❤
Extremely bad. It will be the same as the Bambu, they all have to purge the filament in the nozzle, and then they print a wipe tower. Depending on the print and filaments used you might be able to wipe-to-infill, but you will always have the purge nozzle waste, which will be around 50-100mm of filament every time. You can see the bucket of wasted filament on the right side of the printer around 1:15 to 1:25 . IDEX would be the best option for multicolour prints but they're nomally much more expensive.
NO idea what the other guy is talking about. Yes, it wastes a lot. It's not possible for a printer to not waste a lot with only one tool head. They can improve it some, but this style will ALWAYS have a lot of waste. Look at the video, poop shoot at 1:15
It's probably going to waste as much as Bambu X1C's originally before they implemented the "retract before cutting" feature that greatly reduced purge waste. Since this printer has no motors in its "ams" it's very likely to produce more waste than a X1C or P1S. Idk about comparing to the Bambu A series because I only own their core xy machines in my farms.
Well alot of good info i got from you guys .. i do 3D printing Service and really looking to add a multicolor machine .. we will see if anycubic add any improvement for their new ' ams ' machine .. thank you all
@mohammedmariff9034 If you're able to print multiple alike units on the same bed, it will waste just as much as printing one. This will lower your overall waste. If the model color has distinct separated by layers, adjusting how the model sits can help too. For example if one half of the model is a different color, you can orient it up and down. I love the fact that these things can print multiple colors, but I mostly use it to continue another color once the first one runs out. Its also nice to have multiple colors and you don't have to switch out as often. The fact that this one has a dryer is also nice for PETG. There's Def many advantages beside multicolored printing with an AMS type unit.
You are under an agreement not to post footage of the multi color please dont play dumb. You have a timeline for video release like all other content creators. Cheers though. @@itsboyinspace
