True champs want to be heard from their own voice. Muhammad Alli never let his voice be unheard for example. Canelo is a white ginger that probably burns in the sun but that doesn’t define him. He’s a Mexican FIGHTER. That being said as a bilingual this shit is hilarious. We gotta laugh at ourselves. My Mexican cousin is a ginger with freckles. People forget Louis C.K. was born in Mexico City, and Tom Segura is Hispanic too 😅
I always love how people forget the Spanish are Europeans, and they are WHITE, the only lightly darker Spanish are Andalus because of the mixture with the moors.
I went to watch your show this year in Cincinnati. U were amazing! I laughed so much!! But the best part was that you kept going even after the show was supposed to end. You opened up a tequila bottle and sat down at the edge of the stage, talked to us so friendly and opened your heart to all the audience that were feeling so close to you. Such an wonderful touching moment. I wished that I could ran to you and hug you. You are the best !
Fluffy has unbelievable command of languages and regional accents, I really enjoy watching and listening to him. Way to go Fluffy, I’m not a groupie but a definite fan.
I mean Fluffy ain't wrong! Take Sofia Vergara for example, when she speaks in English many say that she doesn't sound necessarily the most intelligent and is just primarily seen in a more comedic manner (don't get me wrong, her accent that comes through is very attractive imo) BUT when she whips out that Spanish... ya better run because she sounds so professional, smart, etc., and becomes a million times more charismatic.
You weren't being disrespectful, you were stating facts. If he is getting his underwear in such a twist over that...then obviously there is some hard-core wounds within himself that he needs to heal. People are always wanting to blame others for what they refuse to face. Don't let it get you down, Gabriel. Canelo needs to realize, if a comedian takes their time to talk about you, over other things they can talk about..that is the highest form of flattery.
Love that Fluffy knows he is in trouble, but still repeats the joke :D And yeah, there are so many national stereotypes around the world about neighboring nations being "very slow", and it's all mostly because people are forced to speak a language they don't know that well.
Something I love about the US is that we dont have an official language. We have a preferred language, but its not official. You can speak spanish, french, German, korean, Suomi and not get in trouble or something.
Complaining about people becoming sensitive does absolutely nothing for anyone. There are two sides of a coin. Those who are oversensitive and looking for trouble, and those who are mad they can't say racist/sexist/ messed up things anymore without being held accountable.
Yes, that is why he got in trouble. And yes, we have become that sensitive because as soon as you say one wrong thing after giving your opinion, they get all bent out of shape and there are times when people tell me. Oh dude you need to be so more careful about what you say, and I say screw them.
What makes this more joke ironic is that this was recorded on May 7, 2022. The same day Canelo was fighting Dmitry Bivol, but lost by unanimous decision for just his 2nd career loss.
I wish I was there when you preformed this, this is most likely my favorite of your stand-up comedy shows. Like Amanda C was saying, you weren't being rude or disrespectful, as a wise young Erica Sinclair once said, "Just the facts!"
Thank you for the memories you create. I have NOT watched the Netflix special for this show because I'm specifically saving it to watch in person with my sons when they visit over the holidays. We got to see you in Vegas a few years back, again recently in Albany about a year ago, and they're some of the best stories we tell and retell. Hoping you're safe and well and all the success continues.
Comedians typically release their comedy special with their old, polished and practiced material. They don't put out a video and then travel around re-telling the same jokes. His special contains what he was working with several years ago. Trust me, once the special drops you will see mostly new never before heard material in person.
Ah man, didnt include the part where Gabriel says something like, "How was I supposed to know Canelo would watch 'Ron Whites tribute to the troops' on a Nashville network?! I didn't think he'd see it.... Shit's in English!" lmao
Everything Fluffy does is hilarious!! Making fun of a professional boxer might, however, be hazardous to his health!! He make me want to revive my high school Spanish lessons. Miss Narduzo was great. Looked like Linda Crystal. I actually paid attention and worked hard at it. Still struggle to roll the Rs.
I did well in Spanish class, mostly because my professor was a MILF, and my partner was my type that I naturally fell head over heels for. Now I want to relearn my Spanish just to expand my skill set.
Keep at it, it can be done it just takes time and practice. I think it took me at least 3-4 years to roll my Rs properly. And then you have to know when to roll them and when to let them sound almost like a light d sound. That takes time and practice too. I've been fluent for 30+ years now. Last year in July or August my granddaughter decided she wanted to learn French so she invited me to do it with her. Naturally she quit in just a week or two, but I've kept at it. I've become a sort of language learning junkie. So if you're interested you can use Duolingo for free. I knew about it long ago, but thought you would have to pay for it. But no. If you can tolerate ads, you can learn entirely for free, and not just one language. I think I'm up to 24 different languages now. I really have to pay attention when I'm texting family or autocorrect goes wild because I have almost that many language keyboards installed on my iPhone so I can type with the right characters and language markings. Anyway, I discovered that in Spanish I still needed some grammar instruction, just from using Duolingo. This coming from a guy that spent a couple years in a call center Spanish queue. So don't be discouraged if learning another language interests you. If I had the cash free and clear and no debt, I'd be subscribing to the Duolingo app.
Good lawyer! Do it on your terms, no-one else's! Most have said the same things regarding Tyson's voice and Beckhams (even though his is football, I'm throwing it in there) lol
I remember watching this and when we had a break to get food and all that, people were looking and realized Canello lost that night…and then when we got back he told this joke 😅 The timing is amazing
One of the best people I knew where the voice and appearance didn't match was a marine named Paki-Taff. Seeing him you could clearly see his Pakistani heritage then he opened his mouth and 3 generations of living in deepest Wales showed through. If you heard him before you saw him you expected a white guy wearing a sheep loincloth, and found yourself facing a huge brown guy instead. The nickname covered both regional characteristics, but he also responded to Paki or Taff. For context the nickname process in UK forces is regional for good reason. If you are in a warzone and hear a Liverpool accent you don't wait to be formally introduced and find out the person's name you shout "Scouse." and look their way so you can tell them they are about to be shot at and keep them alive. There is racism etc. in the UK military, same as everywhere else unfortunately. However as he used to say there are few people willing to express their racism toward someone his size who literally kills people for a living.
That made me think of it's always sunny in Philadelphia, when frank yells,"look out f*ggot!" To save Mac from being crushed by something falling towards him. Mac is still in the closet, resents being called a name and frank insists the slur cut through all the bullshit and got his attention in time to save his life. If you haven't seen its always sunny that might not make sense but i think you'd like it based on how you explain the service in the UK.
Here's the thing, Fluffy didn't apologize. He just repeated the joke. Because it is fucking funny and actually truthful. I don't really think the fighter is upset with Fluffy. He'd take it as friendly ribbing and if he saw this video he'd go Ahhhhhh pendejo jajajajaja...
I get fluffy's point but it depends from person to person though irrespective of their race or gender ... For example - Jackie Chan's English is kinda broken but he nails every English interview.... He is smart , doesn't give a damn about what others think about him, he is confident and he commands respect
Gabriel you have a real point there, but sadly the truth hits hard. Maybe offer him some help with practicing his interviews and English speaking? Who could refute just how talented you are in both languages! Thanks for the video!!!
Point of view of a stranger many thousands of miles away: you were not wrong Fluffy. And, may I add, you were quite a gentleman about it. I mean, he could have gotten roasted really bad. But he actually got sound advice with a healthy side of humor. If he's angry... he should be angry with himself, not you Fluffy.
Fluffy teaching the world Mexican Spanish, one joke at a time 🤩 I love multilingual performances 🥰 I'm trying to encourage the local amateur theatre group to do culturally and linguistically diverse productions, including Auslan (Australian sign 🇦🇺🦻🖐️), and of course Anaiwan 🖤💛❤️ Fortunately, I have someone whose fight for awareness through theatre is inspiring. RIP Martin Mantle, the most gentle polymath 🏳️🌈🛕

Love Ron White and I really love Fluffy!❤Don't worry Fluffy it will blow over and we love you anyway just there is alot of Jerks. A great man said STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES LOL😅
Omg, people sound completely different, when they speak in a different language. Excellent observation, Fluffy. Keep up the awesome work. And,,take care.
My starting point is in the germanic group together with english not a romance language like spanish but it still took me 2 decades to speak english in a confident manner. Still have a very noticable accent (moslty because i dont speak english daily) but the confidence is what makes all the difference.
