Good vid. You should give us an idea on how these fare with Echolink. Also, do they support UTB and would they work with an SDR dongle directly connected?
What channel on zello do you have to install to get The Hf and 2m receiver I Have all the network radios channels but unsure how to go about getting what you had on your review of the Anysecu w2 pro Hope you can help Thanks
I'm looking i9nto going all digital sir, but the radio you mentioned, it's web address has no price listing for it lol. would be cool to have it though as I'm finally defeating our squirrely friends and taking down my HF antenna as they LOVWE climbing on that tv mast it's on lol.
Hope you will see this. I suppose it will, but wanted to know what you thought about this. I have a Retevis RT99 in the Jeep and the VGC VR-N75-- (same radio) in the house. I run the radios through my Android phone including using the phone as a speaker mic. Logic says that I could install the HT app for those radios and use the W2 Pro to Bluetooth to the RT99. That would mean one radio and mic for 2M/70CM (Bluetoothed to the RT99), Zello, and Echolink. It should work but I wanted to ask if you have either tried that, or if you think it would work. I'd hate to shell out the money and end up with three mics hanging in the vehicle. I also have a GMRS radio in there as well as I can't find an antenna that will tune well enough to cover 2M. 70CM, and GMRS frequencies. There's also the "not part 15" in the US issue. So the GMRS will stay a separate unit on a tuned antenna. Thanks.
I would like to know if this is Sim compatible with AT&T I had recently bought it and bring using it under Wi-Fi conditions and it works great. With the moment I bought him AT&T Sim card does not seem to want to recognize it on Chrome and get away from using Internet and allow it to use the Internet and phone to Sim card and the phone number from home I have not really go to work with the Sim card yet if anyone has any ideas thank you.
when 4g is down, then that thing will be dysfunctional and 2m doesnt reach that far, like cb when there is no dx propagation. i rather keep it to the lowbands like 20m, 40 & 80m, that gets like everywhere.
Ha! Promises promises Lewis, still haven't accepted my Zello request in over two years. All good though, don't expect you to accept every request you get 👍
Could you test to find out if the USB port can act as a host, thus being able to power a rtl-sdr? This would be spectacular for a few uses I have if it will work as a host.
Short answer: no. This is just an Android device so the HF and VHF reception you see here isn't actually being done by this device. It's just a web interface to one of the many remote web-sdr sites. Your phone will be able to do the same.
The most important thing on this video fails in setup to mention that Real-Ptt controls the PTT in Peanut and Echolink. When you use these two programs Real-PTT pops up and that's it you cannot go any further. Cannot find out anything on this to set it up. Just posts on how great it is. Until someone posts a video on the setup it is a waste of time buying the W2Pro. Also no suppor from the company what so ever
Zello and other apps allow you to share your location. Even 2 way radio's have it too. Just imagine you got stuck or lost and can't talk. It helps to have GPS. Plus you can use Google maps.
Lewis click baiting isn't good. I have ADHD and I find this bad as lying 🤥 please don't mate. We know you're a great man with fantastic content. Have a good day.
