I have tried everything with this knife sharpener but I just cant get the suction to work, my surfaces are all clean, but it it just won't stick down at all, leaving it to freely move about, has anyone else had this trouble ?
I struggled at first. You really have to push down hard, preferably both sides, and you will see the handle jump a bit. Try to maintain the pressure while locking the handle down. I've got severe arthritis in my fingers but I've got the hang of it now. Worth persevering - be firm!
