I left Mumbai in 2017 and back in my hometown, Shillong. It will be awesome if this truly gets completed by 2026. I will come to Mumbai again just to ride all of these effing routes :))

@@Anvaya24 actually we don't need hyperloop between Mumbai and Pune, the volume of people is too much for a hyperloop to handle, as per my opinion a maglev line straight from cstm to Pune jn might be the best.

This is a very crude & rude comment. When in Kolkata in 1984 the Metro started, it should have opened eyes of those who were in power in Mumbai and they should have completed the Metro project in the next 5 to 10 years. Wo sotay rahe, public rotee rahee. 2026 tak rotee rahegee. Just see Delhi men 1996 men kaam chaalu hua aur aaj poora network, jabki Mumbai has just one operational route - Versova to Ghatkopar. Just one route in 36 years. The leadership in Mumbai should die of shame.

What about those multi millionaire whom doesn' t want these metro line passing through their posh bunglow side for eg : Juhu vile parle scheme..where super stars of earth were living...for their sake metro project from dahisar to mankhurd via bandra has changed and made. up to D N nagar... They are thinking of underground tunnel from borivali to thane around 11 km length.. If this came true than it will be major road for east to west Travellers of suburbs.. Which will connect and reduce time mere 20 minute between east and west burbs..

Is route pe to already achchi tarike se normal local train connectivity hai...Harbour line ko Dadar se link kiya jana chahiye..south Mumbai ki taraf western railway stations ke liye harbour line walo ko koi connectivity nahi hai...jaise ki agar Vashi, Navi mumbai se Mumbai Central station jana ho to harbour line walo ko Pehle Kurla for Dadar aur fir Bombay Central 3 trains change karne padete hai..is problem ka Metro ki wajah se Kya hal niklega? someone please try to explain

1. its not wadala-cst metro. It'll start from north of National Park, then East area of NP, then Thane(not railway station area), then kanjur, LTT then wadala and the directly to GPO with possible extension till Apollo bundar or till Navy nagar. Area around national park, like kasarvadavali have only buses as public transportation and population in there is increasing day by day... thanks to people who think they can find jobs only in Mumbai. Metro is thinking about people in these areas and LTT which is important terminus in Mumbai. 2. For western, central and harbour connectivity, Monorail is there between wadala road and Jacob circle. mahalaxmi(W), Chinchpokli(C) and currey road(C) is connected to mono rail stations. and Naigav is nearest mono rail station to Dadar. in future, there will be more, small segments of metro line for connectivity between harbour an western line. 3. No.... there is no direct connectivity between vashi and Mumbai central. You'll have to change trains, there will be no option until future planning

Metro line 1 runs at average speed of 32kmph, if all metros run at such speeds, then traveling from any point to another in 60 minutes will definitely not be possible. If we really want this to be possible we need to make sure that curves in alignment are not very tight.

Train n platform connectivity important. Getting from one line to another should not be done walking. Ticket should be from one metro stn to another without alighting. All stations must be on one level.Inside the train in each coach travel route and arrival should be shown. Going up and down escalators b provided. Exit gate must be wide and no hawkers allowed.No vendors inside the station at all.& much much more.

@@IamIndianPostman all roots will be served by metro 4 which is supposedly extending till shivaji chowk where it will connect to line 9 and line 9 is connecting to 7 and 7 is connected to line 2a at dahisar.. There are lot of inter change but.. There not going to be second line on same root..

We request you to have a small patch connecting these two routes via Bhandup Sonapur-Nahur-Airoli, Rabale-Ghansoli- Mahape-MBP-Nalco circle - Shil, Palava, Katai. This small patch will help lot many people mainly residents & employees from this area to commute to Kalyan, Dombivali, Katai, Taloja, Wadala, Ghatkopar, Sonapur, Thane Kasarwadavali as well as via other metro lines from there end or in between to Andheri, Airport, Bhiwandi, CST, Colaba, Dahisar, Mira Road, Bhayander etc. Even this will help commuter from those other metros. I don't think it goes through high demand areas for Kalyan dombivli. Metro 5 and 12 for me is waste. There won't be much ridership. Metro 14 doesn't cover Kalyan dombivli where people are already facing overcrowding issues and dying commuters. Seems life is less important than growth spurts, where our beloved netas are expecting return on investment in property

So if you are not aware of Dynamics of travel there is no simple way anyone can explain. Moreover there is already a train to both Taloja and Bhiwandi via diva. Not much ridership.
