Wow this was a great idea. Wonderful way of involving the fans with top experts and the developers. Unfortunately I missed the live chat but wanted to quickly ask is there even a slight eco bonus coming to the Magyars? Currently they don't have one.

How does this only have 601 views after a week? :( Need to pimp the marketing and promotional content pushes much more for sure.

First of all love you guys, so many great people in one podcast. Second, a suggestion, if you're worried about their age up being too op early could the Malay feudal advance be 60-70% faster and then the other ages 100%?

The town spawning inside another player's town bug is a fortress map tradition dating all the way back to the Age of Kings days before any of the expansions or Steam. Simply play a game where there are more players than the map size recommends, play on fortress, and set the "team together" setting to off, so that your fortress is randomly placed on the map.

Really great initiative to have this discussion. The game has really evolved and changed in so many ways over the years. Watching this video and listening to the experts and developers give us their take on these changes really gives us a good idea of where the game is heading and how the meta game is changing or needs to in certain areas.

I don't really expect to get an answer out of this, possibly because I've asked without any sort of affirmative answers being given in the past, but will there ever be meaningful changes to civilizations that have always been outside of the meta, since AoC? Not just slight tweaks to make a civilization a little less terrible, but actual major changes to make them more viable. For example, Teutons are almost completely useless at higher levels, and risk never being touched because there are 30 other civilizations that you can pick. Perhaps Koreans, and their lack of economic backbone, is there a possibility of seeing something added to them to make them a viable pick aside from just pocket 3v3/4v4? WILL TURKS EVER GET A PIKEMAN? I think that it's pretty important to see the new content get leveled out for sure, to make sure they don't overpower older civs, but the nature of the expansions have very much pushed some of the older civilizations out of being viable. For example, Indians are so powerful, and there's just no reason, in my mind, to ever pick the Saracens again when you can just pick the much stronger Indians. Perhaps on water maps, the 25% faster galley fire is good, but when Indians are also a camel civ, but with a better economy in general, I don't see any reason I should pick Saracens. As much as I want to see new civs be a fluid, smooth piece of the AoE world, I equally want to see weaker AoK/AoC civs be resurrected, and given new life.

Major reworks are very unlikely to happen to any of the older civs. Largest changes we've done to older civs is giving them an extra bonus (like the Franks berry bonus).

Care to expand on why that may be? Is it diehard conservation of some of the original aspects of the game? Is it because you think they're all fine the way they are? Because right now, if I gotta random one more game as the Koreans, I'm gonna vomit. lol

I really don't understand why there is a need for every Civ to be equally good in every aspect of the game. Why do we need to give Pikes to Turks? They have the mighty Jans. Why do we need to give Xbows to Spanish? They have the mighty Conqs. Let the game be as it is, come up with your METAs, try to improvise, and embrace the different civs with whatever weakness they have and focus on their strengths!

Would there be a way to have "who's talking" icon? I'm terrible with voices and couldn't always tell the difference between TaToh and TheViper.

I would like to get an answer reffering to the most requested idea from comunities and that of making every civ as a stand alone civ with it`s own slp files, now we know that there are some people who are working on that, but a big issue is that changing data won`t work in campaigns. So are the devs going to finnaly develop this? More and more players want to edit textures for each civ`s building and won`t hurt to actually create different slp for units too, even though will be clone files of the same unit, this way we`ll start see more and more mods with different textures for each civ`s buildings and units too. Also what is the best way i can give you some awesome ideeas i have for balancing all civs, which will bring old civs back in the game. I have a different idea of approaching balancing issues. Now i don`t have tests made nor i`m not aware of how will affect civs in different ways, my ideas are focuing on ingreasing their strengths by covering a bit their weaknesses and those changes will probably as i said bring back to the table old civs :)
