AoE4 Build Order Breakdown - Vortix's Mongol Opening 

this is the kinda content i am looking for . a game analysis of how pros use a civ/game mechanic to make a game winning strategy. not necessarily the build order but the key strategy guiding through the gameplay. Would like a similar gameplay analysis of how to deal with english longbow +spear feudal spam into siege engineering ram push as a mongol player :)

Great video. Only suggestion is to adjust mic settings. Frequently when you move closer or farther from the mic the volume of your voice changes drastically

This was a good showing of another build order. Showed how to capitalize on a good resource spawn as the Mongols. Would be good to see what to do on a really bad spawn as well. At the moment bad spawns are very common. As an example, a few days ago as Mongols had no gold vein on my side of the map vs HRE. As Mongols you could still win a game like this if you put enough early pressure so you can get gold for age up. After that depending on civ you are up against, you could go all in on age 2, build forward tc for defense at gold, or go trade to get gold, all the while keeping pressure on your opponent. Once you've got the gold you are golden. The question is how you get to that point. I was able to win this match up due to outplaying my opponent, but if I was up against an equal level opponent in a higher level or play I can imagine this would have been a much greater undertaking. Woul be interesting to hear from a high level aoe4 player what you could do to stay in the game.

Thanks for sharing this. Tried it out in game and it's pretty crazy. Even a single ram is great for absorbing shots from TC and any idle archers the enemy might have. I played against an English and got quite a few of his archers while they auto targeted the closest unit which was seige ram. Then I made 8 rams to knock down walls to go in with lancers to end the game since he invested too heavily to hard on archers.

Another cool Mongol opening I found is played by Nyanracingcat. Basically mass-scout forward outpost rush. Really creative and puts a ton of pressure on the opponent during dark age.

Hey fitz, your voice drops abit during the video when you're moving your head away from the mic, listening on mobile and it's hard to hear at times (no head phones). Do you think it's a good idea to have two scouts on the map, one that can hang around enemy base to see what they're doing?

Just a quick question about the replay mode, can you select a time in the video i want to rewatch a fight in a game i had but can only seem to fast forward it and if i want to rewatch it got to go back to the begining

Okay, very serious question lol. How are you panning around without using the edge of the screen? Are you using the arrow keys and taking your hand off the mouse? Or are you holding alt and using WASD? Every time I try the alt WASD way, I move the mouse too much and end up rotating my camera :(. Please send help heeh

Fitz i think that if you would start sending horseman Vortex would start making Mangadais to counter them kinda sąd that man at arms are avilable at 3 age cause its hard to counter this in second age

I do wonder why mongol players dont build the tc next to the ovoo if there is stone and wood next to each other. You can def get 2x vills in three times in darkage, giving you a solid 2-3 vill advantage already.

Are you 100% sure the Khan's speed boost applied to the town centre at the start of the video? It didn't look like it did? No indication like there is with units when they are under it.

"I don't think I made a mistake here going with archers" said as he loses because he went all in on archers? You forced archers. You showed quite a few spearman which means he has to go mangadai, but didn't consider that he knows you know that. This guy has a bit of a galaxy brain.
