Every day since I came here, I've been thinking. Why did things end up this way? Having your body and mind rot away, having your freedom taken away, losing your sense of self... Anyone who knew they'd end up this way would never set foot on a battlefield. But something pushes them onward. And they all walk into hell anyway. Usually, that something isn't their own will. The conditions and people around them leave them with no choice. But people who push themselves onward see a different sort of hell. They're looking at something past that hell. It might be hope, or it might be yet another hell. Only the people who keep moving forward can know for sure. - Eren Jeager
Attack on Titan from Eren’s perspective is so compelling. It was either make a choice or accept the death of Paradis, he chose to protect those who mattered to him. Until the end he looked for alternatives, one of the most tragic characters in fiction.
You wouldn’t believe this depressing show pulled ME out of Depression 😅and threw me in Sadnesses and deep thoughts😂,through its lessons and compassion which taught me reality .
Same here I found my long lost emotions back. I didn't even know I had them in me, just waiting to be tapped into by something like AoT. Their struggle and sacrifice made me question mine. The inherent nature of the world is meant to be cruel but how we face it makes the difference. Most humanly and psychologically real show I've ever watched.
The best character in all of history. Changed my entire outlook on life. I have never seen any entity ever I’ve related to more. God bless Isayama for this character.
@@editor7354 lol I don’t know where to start. Let’s say with the subject of freedom. He showed me that to fight for freedom you have to be willing to lose everything. But tbh it’s very personal I’d have to tell you my life story first.
@@FullyOnVolks ah damn fair enough. No need to tell if u don't want to but I'd like to hear it cuz I'm curious lol n how erens ideology has affected ur life
I remember the night before it scared me but when it came on that night instead of switching the channel, i kept it on cause it didn't start with people being eaten.... at the beginning of the episode, i was hooked by the end, then started the legends of attack on Titan sundays
For me, Eren has always been one of the most if not the most well written character ever. He changed my perspective of life. Though he is a fictional cahracter he has a HUGE influence in my life, the life changing decisions I took etc. It's like Eren is my old friend who just tells me to keep moving forward till death, even after death...Just thank you Isayama for creating EREN JAEGER. And this music was just equally amazing. I wrote down a lot lol.
Eren is an amazing character, he watched his mom get eaten alive, but did he watch his girlfriend get raped? By his best friend? In his friend's blood? No. And plus he ain't got no giant lump of metal.
"Someone who can't sacrifice anything will never change anything!" "I know this... That's why I failed... then... in the past timeline... But now I can... I will break this circle of hate... but for that I will have to sacrifice my dearest people"
Ahahahaha, in your dreams 😂😂😂. His goal is to save his dearest people , he doesnt need peace in paradis for the people who he doesnt even know😂😂😂 So stupid, you Aoe believers living in fantasy. He always fighting for his loved ones and for freedom . Its his core
' Hate is all about ourselves not others, we are the antagonist of our own life, no one else, we can chose to be blind and suffer by blaming others for our hatred or face it and chose to understand for our sake and the sake of others, what this hatred is all about'' this is what this ost inspires me
I am really, really fond of this one. I am glad thatI have followed this character development - it is a beautiful and meaningful story that will stay with me forever.
This makes me feel that there is a piece of Eren Jeager in each one of US. We feel his pain and heardships amd we keep pushing forward, No matter what, No matter how hard it gets or how low we get, WE have a duty, We deserve to be FREE ! IF ANYONE IS GOING TO TAKE THAT FROM US THEN WE SHALL RAGE AND DESTROY THE ONES WHO WANT TO ENSLAVE US LIKE CATTLE INSIDE FARMS AND CONTROL US . RAGE AGAINST THE DYING OF THE LIGHT, RAGE MY FRIENDS RAGEEEE !!!!
Crazy how anime made everyone feel slavery is bad, hating the descendants after slavery also doesn't make sense. Maybe because those same people wanted to wipe the planet clean of every other race.
For people saying that eren just did ‘’all that’’ because he hate them No it was just him protecting He attacked marley because they are planning to attack paradis He tried genocide because he just wanna protect Peace
@@francisclulea960 Not necessarily revenge, but he wanted a reason to enact his childish sense of freedom (chapter with ramzi) and covered it up with reasons like "for the island" which were only a fraction
@@red.4712 Yeah and also Eren was just tormented constantly with the guilt of the deaths he would cause, even saying he would be even worse than Reiner.
the fact I am heartbroken over this. I never had this before... Ive been crying, not eating not wanting to get out of bed. Eren Jaeger... He deserves so much more that I cant accept it how it ended... I cant..
"Ever since that dream about the zombies, I haven't been able to stand this boring life where nothing happens... Of course humanity isn't in danger of being annihilated. It's impossible... A dream that ridiculous would never... No, wait... If the danger doesn't exist... *Then I could just cause it myself. A threat to alll of humanity...* " - Eren from school castes Actually somewhat canon to the main story as it represent the characters of aot if they lived a normal life at our time (confirm by Isayama)
Literally Isayama saying that even in a world of total peace Eren is still inclined towards violence because it's his nature and always has been. And yet somehow people still miss that.
There is no right or wrong answer, no best or worse choice, there's only answers. The one that decides the next call is the one that persists the longest, fights the hardest, and lays down the most to see it through
I feel like I can relate to Eren when it comes to depression. My reason? Hunting down the predatory scourge of this world and making them suffer is something I am incapable of. I wish God gave me some form of power to deal with them 😭😭❤❤
The destiny of weaklings is lamentation and shame, to live with it and to take it in their graves. The miserable fate of the weak living in the world of strongs. And i say this as an outsider myself, a weak and scared boy who lived in shame and humiliation my entire life, and decided, after being pushed to my very limits and after losing everything, to stand up against the humiliation and to have my revenge.
@@jundullah9869 I feel you on that ❤ But here is one advice you should take. Never make permanent decisions based on temporary feelings, unless the prospect of getting away from the consequences are certain.
In my opinion the most profound moment for Eren was when he choose to believe in his comrades, resulting in their gruesome deaths... "If only I transformed and killed her at the start" seems to be eating him alive.
damn this is something else. cant describe it, if i were to put in in word, its almost like I can feel everything erens been through up until the very end. his emotions manifesting.
look how they massacred my boy... turned a tragic but determined man, someone who was willing to become a devil for the sake of his friends, his people and his freedom into... Into and Idiot? They turned him into a naive boy who's only concern, when leaving behind his friends in a worlds of never ending conflict, a world which just lost 80% of it's live thanks to him, is that the girl he had always rejected moved on from him. "Real Eren" my ass. This song is the theme of a men that saw the fate of the world and decided to fight against it. Not cry about it's inevitability. A man that was ready to abandon his own humanity just to turn the future a tiny bit brighter. A man that grew from a suicidal idiot into a leader, a fighter, a devil. A man that was born free. only for him to become a bird...
You are damn right. He made the impossible with all odds againts him. It wasnt luck nor stupidity, he knew what he was doing and commited to his purpose. I feel your words and disgust with how they potrayed his ideas. He was a man of his words, i will never believe he was some idiot crybaby.
Bro really locked himself in a “Never ending loop” 🔁 where he will take birth to save eldia and his country manipulate Grisha , every other Attack titan holder to create a perfect chain of events and will end up achieving half freedom 😕😔😞 .
Yup I agree and this moment of Eren Yeager of season 4 also reminded me of char aznable of gundam when he got to char counter attack his final arc and he knew what he had to do since he knows humanity’s cycle was doom to repeat of war of no end so what can he do but asteroid axis the blue P planet Char and eren are very much alike of a story arc on that no doubt my two favorite anime tragic hero turned to rightful villain characters of all time hands down!
One thing is enough for you not such thing like villain or something you just said. Just be greatfull to yoiu were born is this world where no titan, war exist.
You know, I just realized I need an edit with SNK scenes, with Honor For All from the Dishonored soundtrack behind it. That would be super fitting for Eren, pretty much every lyric hits. Well, we shall not stumble No, we shall not fall We shall not crumble No, we shall stand tall With death it will come As sure as a night But we will not run No, we live but to fight With blood on our hands And dirt on our knees We tear at the ones Who brought the disease Corvo and Eren actually have things in common-if you do a high chaos run, obviously 😂
@@ikengaspirit3063 his character was destroyed and that's a universal fact at this point. He could have been on par with excellent characters like Light Yagami but now he's just a crybaby
Yup totally agree I didn’t really like eren character at first I’ll be honest BUT THEN CAME SEASON 4 REVENGE OF THE SITH OOPS 😬 excuse me I mean ATTACK ON TITANS lol this season 4 was the moment that made eren from the lest interesting character to the most adult interesting character aka DARTH EREN he finally seemed like he had awareness character and depth by that point my mouth was on the ground the whole season 4 seeing him become what he became I WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT AT ALL absolute genius
so, at first, I always kinda thought Eren was a very one note, kinda boring character I kinda maintained that outlook until we got to Marley Then my opinion did a complete fucking table-flip
