Great review. Maybe next time trace the cut out foam with a silver marker onto the bottom of the case so when you go to put it back in after the adhesive is applied, you’ll be able to line it up exactly where it needs to be.

I've glued my foam down after cutting it, but after spraying it with the adhesive, I put the foam cutouts back in and put the whole thing back in. That way there's no issue and you can just pull the foam cutouts back out and it's perfectly lined up.

The valve is there for when you travel to various elevations you can be able to open the case (decompression). Apparently some elevations may seal it too tight.

Yep. Where I used to live, I could travel from 4,700' to almost 12,000' to 7,400' just on the way home in a day.

Yes you can travel/fly with your weapons with ammo. The only airline I know that you can't fly with ammo in your car is American Airlines. But do your on research. Also this is a nice set up

You absolutly can fly with ammo in your case on American airlines. Has to be in its original box or some other proper storage. Just can't be loose.

I haven't tried this yet, but have seen videos on it, if you use an electric carving knife, the cuts are like butter, and they are precision cuts.

Would you recommend spraying with the adhesive and flex seal before you start doing the cut outs !

If you do then you'll need to let it all dry... then cut out and spray a second time. Either way should work just fine as long as you take your time

Great cases for the money!!! However…. FOAM SUCKS! It ALWAYS eventually breaks down and falls apart. Replace it with solid cellulose or even better use the Magpul DAKA case inserts for rock solid equipment fit.

Just spray a couple coats with plastidip. Also Plano has similar quality for even less. I got a 36in for $99

I went to my local store just in time because I snagged the last one in stock Sunday evening 😎 I wanted tan but it was od green and I'm quite happy with it! And then I grabbed the Daytona 3 ton low profile rapid pump jack on sale for $130 so I'd say I made out like a bandit! I plan on buying more of these cases next time they're on sale.

There’s a website called cobra foam inserts that sells a set of solid foam inserts you can cut out yourself instead of the pluck foam.

That's an absolute score at $50. I would buy 5 of them at $50 and have fully customized setups... staged in specific locations...

I watched another review and they proved that it was not watertight. And it has the ability to break easy. And they recommended not to travel with it cuz it was a cheaper made box. I just want to give you people a heads up watch more than one review

I took that review with a grain of salt. They dropped the apache from the 2nd story almost upright on its end where the full force of the impact was on the end itself. The SKB case was dropped hitting at about a 45-50 degree angle where a lot of the force was distributed through the case. The drops were definitely not apples to apples. As far as leaking I know from experience my Apache case takes a LOT of force to open without using the valve with only temperature changes. You can hear the suction and I know it is water/air tight. If I had to take a guess in the video you are referring to there was something either in the seal or they damaged the seal. If I remember correctly their case was heavily used and definitely not new.

Let me ask you a question could I put my guns and ammo in it seal it and bury it in a moist place and come back 5 years and my ammo and gun be rust-free and good to shoot? I mean if I'm going to buy something I only want to buy one I don't want to buy cheap crap. If it's airtight and water tight I'd buy one. And I will write the company and tell them it was your video that made me buy it

Just because I posted a video does that mean it's a review? Terrible comment because you're incorrect. It's a video about the case... How I set it up and how it works for my setup. It's too give people ideas about how to set theirs up and the considerations I made. So you can not like the video... That's fine. But don't call this a review.
