APARTMENT TOUR | IQALUIT, NUNAVUT 

I was just there in June of this year (2019). I cant wait to go back someday. I adopted my son from there so nunavut has a special place in my heart ♡♡

Mud room/air lock is pretty important feature most houses down south do not have.

Your dog is soooo cute! It's big for an apartment (at least from what I've experienced here in the States) and you have lots of natural light coming in, which is nice! And heated floors?! YES!!!

When I lived in northern Quebec I ordered dog food from rens pet. You can get high quality food like from bosleys down south!

My question: what was the condition of the apartment in Iqualuit BEFORE moving in? Did the landlord have to repaint, repair et al? Thank you, for sharing your life experiences. How do you manage water, sewer, electric & gas there?

I had no idea it was pronounced the way u said it because I am from Quebec and it French it is pronounced differently (this sounds like such a ridiculous comment 🤣) still watching but I am excited to see the place ! Your apartment looks awesome. How far are you out of town? From your video here, you appear to be on a hill, which is similar to us here. I’m new to this channel but I assume that if Devon is a full time firefighter up in Iqaluit that he had to help fight the horrible Northmart fire? How are things up there now? I read the store reopened but that many residents are referring to it as “smoke mart” because of the stench left behind. I’m curious about moving up there but I hear there is a big housing crisis.

The dog is like "yeah, check out this nonsense. I get one cookie when there's a whole box of em in there and I can't even sleep on the spare bed". :) So how much is the rent for that place? It looks really nice, but it's probably expensive. Online it says the average rent there is $3000, but I can't imagine they were talking about a place like that, just because it looks nicer than average, but what do I know. In Ontario you can rent a luxury apartment for less than $3000 (hell, I only pay $695 and we get an extra livingroom, and 2 walk in closets, but it's not fancy looking... I still like it though). I was also wondering what you meant by a "good area". Do you mean that it's just a convenient location for your husband's job ect, or is it like Ontario where there are literally good areas and bad areas?
