Hi Sonia! My wife Sonia and will be move out to Iceland in the next 6 weeks and we are looking for an 1 room apartment I Reykjavik, let me know some tips to fallow in that project, Thanks
I love how bright it is and your own little jungle 😂. It has so much potential and I am jealous of your utility room off the kitchen. Seeing Angus throughout this vlog is the cherry on top ❤.
Sonja, I just read the “Business Insider” article about your life in Iceland and loved your insights. When I read the article I thought I recognized you from your RU-vid channel and sure enough it was you. I grew up in the U.S. and spent 2 fantastic years with the Navy stationed in Keflavik…58 years ago and was befriended by many Icelanders over my many years of visiting the country. And, I love the fact that when I’m in Iceland, I can jump on a morning flight to Glasgow and spend a couple of days visiting family in Irvine. (Icelandair is my favorite link from my Minnesota home to Keflavik and the rest of Europe.). FYI, I love spending time in Scotland and in particular the Highlands, but personally, visiting Iceland always stands at the top of my priority list because of the freedom and safety in traveling solo around the country, and best of all the Icelandic culture and its people! Cheers!😅
How fabulous!! Thanks for sharing and apologies for my late reply. Yes, that's a great hop over the pond for you and then onto Scotland. I wonder if Keflavik has changed much in your eyes, maybe not, perhaps more just construction.
@@sonianicolson Sonja, in many ways Iceland is timeless, especially its culture. Yes, there has been a significant change in population and housing since the 1960s, especially in Reykjavik and adjoining communities, but not so much in Njardvik and Keflavik communities. Although, the international airport terminal area expanded in the late 1980s and most of the military complex was converted for civilian use. I think that change was very positive and allowed tourism to flourish. All the best!
I'm so happy for you and your family, Sonia, but I absolutely could never live in anything so small and I am single with no children. I don't know how you do it!
Til hamingju með íbúðina its supposed to look like someone living in it not like a shop he is so big now me and my hubby bought a smaller apartment in august last year we are elderly and we live now in a new house in Hafnarfirði
Hello! The apartment is beautiful. 😄 I have a question: In which store do you buy Nintendo and Sony Playstation video game things in Iceland and what are the prices like? 🤔
