You are using the official exchange rate yes? Just so folks know, the current blue rate is almost double that. This means a $800 rental could only cost $400 if you have dollars to convert.

@@axelpaff3306 It is NOT “illegal money”. It is the exact same money that you would get from a bank or ATM. You could say it is an unauthorized exchange rate since the government does not approve of it. Whether it is illegal changes with the laws and administrations. Some years it is and other years it isn’t. The highest rates are generally when it is illegal though.

Wrong calculation for the $ dollars . Since on the street the exchange rate is double on the street for the USD$

I am on the same boat.. in the later part of 2022. Dolar Blue rate hovers around 280 pesos a dollar.. so go figure SS reciepients can live pretty well in Argentina.

Every lease with the landlord is unique. There's no specific way rents have to be paid. You need to first determine the best way for you to pay and then go from there.

In theory you should only be paying in pesos. If a landlord wants to charge you in dollars you shouldn’t accept, im pretty sure that’s illegal. Pesos are the only legal tender in argentina (although the dollar is widely use in the informal market, but if you are signing a lease and writing everything down, then you should only be paying in argentine pesos). Im sure some people will try to take advantage from foreigners and try to charge them in usd (i mean its not really take advantage, they are just trying to not lose the money due to inflation, so who can blame them) but it’s definitely better to pay in pesos because your rent will go down each month as pesos are worth less and your dollars more.

Blue dollar tends to change everyday...I'll let the audience apply those rates if they are exchanging with the blue dollar.

Zonaprop is only a listing tool. You’ll need to contact the realtor to move forward in the rental process.

Show more of the apartments with far less personal commentary. I don't care that you love pools--the next person may hate them. Or that you have dogs & hate to walk to find space for the dogs to do their "duty." If you had deleted some of that personal commentary, you could have shown twice as many apartments.

Thanks for your feedback. I like to share a few things about dogs or children since I have lived there. I have a different perspective from those that have not yet moved there. Like the summers in BA are miserable and many escape to the coast or look for a pool. I will do more of these videos in the future to show more apartments as well.
