►Today, I use Apex’s most “underrated” gun, the Triple Take! Boom - www.twitch.tv/boomrazzle ►Come watch me live and I'll say hi - / kandyrew ► / kandyrew ►MUSIC: mostly epidemicsounds
Thats why i use it on my off days when i cant aim, its better to do 20 damage per shot than 0,also it comes in clutch in close range, like a sniper shotgun
@@giannicolamatteo8155 I guess, but the Triple T does nothing particularly right. If you just want dmg at any range without the guarantee of a knock just use the Nemesis. Or if you're good with a sniper rifle just use one. Or hell, you can even embrace the cheese with the charge rifle.
@@cautiouslycynical9786 yeah but the Nemesis is going down nerf ally soon, also its pretty unwieldy and you loose shots at long Range where the triple T can consistantly hit , snipers while more Superior are litterally hit or miss and make it harder to defend at close range, the triple take is a Jack of all trades master of none scenario , if you Want something flexible that does everything even if its outclassed
@@cautiouslycynical9786 that being said im no expert, im the kind of guy who likes using the p2020 with hp rounds as a long Range weapon sometimes, which is surprisingly good if you can stay on target, plus it minces redeploy balloons as they get extra damage from hp rounds
@@giannicolamatteo8155 Fair. I honestly wouldn't want a nerf to Nemesis tho. Knocking the R301 down a notch to make room for the Nemesis. Only to eventually "balance" that as well. This is why keeping people engaged with the buff/nerf cycle leads to boredom. Because, if you remember the Triple T use to be OP at some point.
Always loved the tripletake. Multipurpose in terms of doubling as a shotgun and minimal bullet drop means it's easier for most longer range shots. Feels less relevant with the game as it is now, though - ARs are too broadly powerful while the Sentinel is super strong for sniping.
The Triple Take is the only sniper rifle that excels the closer you are to whomever you're shooting. It fills neither the niche of a shotgun or a sniper particularly well
@@kristysalman7152 not really because guns like the repeater and g7 would have around the same damage as it and most of the time the repeater would still be way more consistent I think a nice damage small buff on top of what I said would make it good again as of now the repeater is just the best marksman rifle atm
I think what could make the Triple Take better is faster charge and it being able to take Sniper Optics or maybe make dedicated optics that are more than 4x
Blonde Wig Boomrazzle is now the only Boomrazzle. Love these videos, though I'm always curious of having Boom and Kandy's take on how they'd fix whatever gun is being reviewed.
I think it had the precision choke attachment at one point so that you could change between charging (so the spread was wider) & it already being fully charged, it was like having a sniper & shotgun in 1 gun. That was when the gun was at it's peak
I suggest using the triple take more like a shotgun, since that way you dont need to charge it up but still have the ability to hit the higher end of 19-110 since you'll hit more of the bullets
I feel one of the main problems with sniping with the tripletake is that the curve is different or slower or something, I enjoy using the gun but it shoots waaaay differently to other snipers
to me it feels like the tripple take does work in closer ranges, similar to AR guns. And unlike an AR you don't need to unload a clip to do damage, you play a long range fight the way you'd play a close range fight with a PK, which has given me some free kills, where an AR would need me to release the entire clip and risk taking damage. Additionally, the clip size is big enough that you can kill a guy and not have to reload to clip another one. Still a niche gun.
Tripletake shines as hot drop weapon, it's really effective and reliable for close to mid range, but damn this is the least reliable marksman/sniper rifle
Maybe shrinking the damage range would help? It ranges from hitting one uncharged bullet at 19 damage, to a full 102. Having such a wide range with a heavier focus on the lower damage isn’t fun
You know what would be SUPER cool? if there was 2 ways of throwing an Arc Star, the current way and a second one to throw it in a linear fashion like a Shuriken and making it togglable like how fuse toggle throwing types of ordnance.
personally i think TT was never meant for long long range, its a mid to close range, close range being where its the strongest. it is afterall a spread weapon, they want you using it closer to people and only charge shots when they leave effective spread range
Personally I view the TT as a shotgun rifle, its for medium ranges and adds forgiveness to your shots, so for like strafing and such you're more likely to land some "pellets" on them even if they move slightly. I don't think it's BAD but it's not A+ rank when compared to the meta either lol
You're under the assumption that the Triple take is a sniper, or DMR, or long range gun. But in reality, it's a top tier Shotgun especially on the larger maps.
honestly the best change they could make to it is make the spread stay charged if you hit a shot on someone, other than that it's really not worth using
If they could find a way to nerf the range of ARs more, and increase the cocking speed of snipers, the triple take could be a useful gun for just doing *some* damage at that mid-long range point. I think that's the real problem with all the marksman weapons is that snipers and ARs overlap their niche already. Even the scout and the bow are still a little underwhelming with their baseline stats, and the 30-30 is like the triple take in that it's mostly a joke.
so heres the secret about the triple take- its hits between 0-100+ but most of time its 21 21 21, so when the enemy takes 21 dmg he just like brush it off and stay at his spot tanking the dmg like hey its just 21 dmg, let me just put out more dps to that stupid guy firing the triple take, feeling secure about that, then the next shot hit them for like 110 and they get downed. Power of triple take lies in catching you offguard.
As someone who worked my a** off to get good with every gun, the triple take was one of the easiest. You wait and actually aim for like half a second and hit for 63 every time. Hip fire is crazy, but it’s just a slower paced sniper. Think about it like you would a kraber or a sentinel, you wanna make sure you don’t mess up the shot so you just take a second to actually aim and line up the shot
i don't understand how the Longbow is considered a sniper rifle when it's quite literally a Semi-automatic long range rifle but the Triple take is considered a marksman when it's pretty much the same as the Longbow but as an energy weapon
The triple take is the gun I got my first 4k badge with way back in season 6, so I am more than a little biased when I say I love this gun. I'll defend it until my dying breath!
The only real thing the Triple-Take has going for it, is the fact it can keep pulling off damage at that mid to close range. It has a lot of ammo, and the stun with the energy ammo, but thats it. Not defending it as I also hate it to the core lol
I still think the triple take will become as annoying as the charge rifle if they buff it anymore. The most they can do is just increase its ammo count or charge speed
Its a marksman not a sniper... its not meant for super long range hence why 2-4 is the highest scope you can get. The marksman tempo on the triple take is the slowest by far. The 30-30 is much better because the charge style is faster and it doesnt need the charge to reduce spread being it only shoots 1 bullet where the triple take shoots three and needs charge to reduce spread. The trade off they gave it is bullet hop which is easily recitfied by the player. But you can still hit sniper range shots for proper damage. The triple takes 3 projectiles begin to split off again over certain range which ruins it but i suppose it makes sense because again it is not a sniper. Realistically the 30-30 should also take a range damaged reduction. But i understand why that bothers people i also wish marksman rifles were stronger in long range fights. But yall gotta realize if that was the case then they would all just be in sniper class and defeat the purpose of having a marksman class. Look at the g7 in mid range its a monster especially if you can land double tap head shots. But in long range its trash compared to triple take and 30-30. The marksman class does need a rework just not the way you want.
i didn't like dmrs in apex until this season, i started to use them and figured out 30-30 and triple take are busted. Triple take matches were like oh my dude I hit 102 dmg, let's push this team or damn i missed all my shots we're dead xd
Hey kandy I don't agree or disagree with you about the triple take something I found that works for me is letting it half charge it keeps it at a consistent 20 to 21 damage
the reason you're getting those 19's from long range is because you need to wait for the choke, I agree I don't like this gun because you have to wait to get a good shot but it still helps if you wait for the choke
