Apex Legends & Titanfall 2 - GameDev Animation Showreel 

Those AI pilots were so uncanny to me since never have I ever seen those animations from my 6 years of playing titanfall 2. It's a shame how they were never used. Thank you for your work at respawn and for bringing smooth animations :D

The world of Titan Fall 2 was epic. A sort of underdog rebel story with small time travel elements and semi-realistic feal to a futuristic setting. A world where hope prevails into the heart of every single colonist fighting for their planet and rich environment that makes me feel hopeful for the future of first person single-player shooters. Then Apex Legends happened...

It's stuff like this that reminds me that there's just so much lore in the Titanfall universe that hasn't been explored. It'd be fantastic I think to have an FPS-esque adventure game setting be exploring more Titanfall lore stuffs.

The Apex Legends Sentinel amp animation is possibly one of my favourite videogame animations ever. There's something about how the sound design, VFX, and animation comes together that feels so visceral. Great, great stuff

Goddamn these look incredible!!! I wish so badly the giant monster in the beginning would've been in the game, ESPECIALLY because that would mean we would also get the titan with a giant sword and shield!!!

The beginning animation makes me wish we had a Titanfall/Evolve crossover, the monsters would fit perfectly and the hero's from the evolve games would feel more grounded alongside their fellow gliding soldiers like the pilots. C'mon i cant be alone in this ;-;

Never thought i would see an official Titanfall animation showcase from the animators themselves.. 0:48 This animation & AI coding is already equal to that of COD MW22's AI in DMZ.

I'll always be thankful for all your hard and amazing work on Titanfall 2. That game was near and dear to my heart and didn't get the attention it was due until more recently but what you helped make with that game truly made it a masterpiece for the ages. We salute you pilot.

Those AI pilots were incredible, it wouldve been awesome to even just apply those animations to player pilots, they were incredibly clean

Now that I think about it, a fight with an animal big enough to throw down with a titan might make for some interesting and fun gameplay

im incredibly excited to see anything you may pursue with animation skills like that. a peek at a reel like this and knowledge of your position as lead animator on tf2/apex will land you any position you might desire im sure of it, i envy your skills man, keep at it!

Oh also titanfall is back btw. We don’t know why at all, respawn is a very quiet company, but like the game is getting updates and it’s alive so that’s cool.

That was actually one of the things I thought was missing from the titanfall 2 campaign, fighting enemy pilots on foot

Dude, your work has defined a generation of gaming for me... I have yoinked a lot, a WHOLE DAMN LOT of Titan Batteries in my day, and the BT-Viper Grapple sequence from the end of Titanfall 2's penultimate level is S-Tier cool. That 1st sequence, with the cut shield and original Titan Sword concept (I didn't realize it had made it so far down the pipeline, I thought it was only ever just on paper!) is awesome, shame we never got to fight big chungus, there. That 3rd Animation sequence; I assume the classic Titanfall MRVN is a placeholder model... or was there a "Feral MRVN" concept at some point...?

They had a good thing going with Titan Fall. A very unique concept. But these companies always go with the "safe" option and made a BR game instead. Now they're concept for mech battles with pilots is on some shelf collecting dust while cookie cutter shooter is slowly moving towards to become just another game we'll use to know.

God Titan jumps would have been amazing.

0:45 Fighting enemy AI Pilots in the campaign was always something I wanted to do, so watching this made me a little sad realizing this didn’t make it into the finished product. Aw well, guess there’s the possibility of the third game. Assuming it ever gets made . . .
