1.3 is the hex size that fits that little screw with the red loctite. Thanks for the video. I just sanded mine with rolled up sand paper going from quality 600, 1500, and 3000. Made a nice difference and honestly the trigger pull feels lighter.

thanks for the side by side of the striker block. My new/old parts got mixed and this helped ID the Apex block

The T6 Torx method worked for me. Though tapping with a wooden mallet worked better than the hammer I used initially. I did call S&W and they're sending me that same screw free of charge, also, since I reached out to them.

You can sand/polish your own striker block, you can buy one from apex, but you also want to polish the inside shaft where the striker block slides up and down (and all sides of the striker block), if you want to totally eliminate the GRIT. There's a lot of bullshit this gun needs to have done to it, but when it's done it's nice. Trigger kit, probably a heavier recoil spring, and a metal optic plate.

I've polished up a radius on a couple of them. Also had really good luck out of replacing trigger, sear, and striker spring and polished plunger (gen 1 m&p 9mm)

Polish the trigger bar and the plunger and the gritty feeling goes away. The trigger bar is stamped out, so you get an ever so slight edge or lip on it. I had the AZ S&W M&P rep do mine. Didn't have to waste money on buying new stuff.

I put a Timney Alpha trigger in my M&P 10mm 4.6" pistol. I prefer it over the Apex. It functions great, feels great, and looks good, too. My Timney Alpha trigger breaks at 90° / vertical, nice. Good things! 👍

I have not tried the Timney, but I've heard good things. Thanks for watching!

This seems like an easy upgrade,do you recommend doing this over getting an Apex trigger,or actually getting both the Apex trigger and this Apex Striker Blocker????I am a noob with this stuff,so it maybe a dumb question 😂😂😂😂😂

The full Apex trigger kit is going to be better but it's also a lot more expensive. But an M&P 2.0 with full Apex is the best striker fired trigger you can get.

Why'd they have to make that screw so tiny?!? Could have definitely been a 1/16 hex... Didn't have the .050 hex wrench or a T6 torx. Local stores don't carry sizes that small either. Now I'm stuck waiting on Amazon to deliver it.

How come some videos I see and even on apex website, the striker block is a lot more rounder, the one you got and same with mine is just a little smoother than the stock one

How do you like that 10mm M&P? Has it held up well?

I've only had it out to the range once, but I like it so far. I have a first impressions video on it.

Mine came pre-stripped from the factory. :/

Can’t get that Allen screw out. It’s to darn small.

You mean you don't have a small enough wrench or is it stuck? Size is .050, I think.
@unitedwestanddividedwefall3521
@@marginallyinteresting I have a 0.50 but like your mine seems to be pre stripped.
