When I hear this, I think of being lost in a foggy fantasy forest, just green trees all around you, but with floating yellow light somewhere around you. But it's not like a bad feeling lost. It's like you're lost but lost in a safe place where you could wander around forever. A place where you're not asleep but also not awake, a place where you're always just in-between.
its so interesting how interpretations vary. This song for me is synonymous with exam season in university. Studying at night, tired, tea, notes and notes and notes, stress. Its like there is a momentary mysterious comfort in the nightly preparation for something stressful later, a strange in between like you said.
I feel like this album should have more attention than his famous ones, this is the underratest album I heard. Richard should feel proud of himself for these songs.
This song makes me think of a huge, confusing maze and the feeling of being lost and disorientated. Combined with the title I visualize an endless labyrinth of curtains.
I think of being lost in a foggy fantasy forest, just green trees all around you, but with floating yellow light somewhere around you. But it's not like a bad feeling lost. It's like you're lost but lost in a safe place where you could wander around forever. Like in your awake, but then again, you're not. you're just in-between.
I always wondered why this song sounded so incredibly unique to me. It just... Felt different. All of the songs were super unique and different, but this one had a certain mystical charm to it which made it really memorable and oddly calming, too. I think I found out why all of these songs, and this one in particular, always were so memorable to me. Turns out, it uses Microtones! I never would've thought about it until it was mentioned to me, but now that I can hear it, it makes sense. So very few do stuff with microtones, it's super cool to hear done in a nice and chill way like this is!
imagine being trapped deep underwater with some huge unknown sea monster. this is what this track makes me think of. think of the most horrifying and crude abomination lurking in the abyss but not showing any hostility just hovering towards you emitting dark chilling sounds.. i can savor the mercurial fear. funny how something as simple as a sound can trigger such lively emotions. even without this fucked up context that feeling of mystery is still there lol
This but with Icct Hedral. I made a bunch of concepts for music videos but for the album ...I Care Because You Do. Sometimes I ask myself if our ideas are truly original but, we can always interpret things in many ways. Our ideas will inevitably sound like rehashes of existing things, lol
If you want a religious experience listen to this entire album from start to finish on your choice of hallucinogen(mild to moderate dose) with some choice bud or wax. I recommend trying at least once.
