Not only is this song absolutely beautiful, it superbly showcases their immense technical talent. Especially when Perrtu (the middle cellist) hits those high notes in thumb position up against the edge of the finger board... It gives me chills...
Chills through the whole song. They did an amazing job with this. I fell in love with it. Felt every possible emotion. They should play this live again.
This band is extraordinary! Apocalyptica is one of the best and unique bands of all time! I don't think anyone else will ever make music more sentimental and beautiful than this! They are just the best
This has got to be the most beautiful song ever, made me a fan for sure (after Brent Smith's version of Not Strong Enough). I could listen to it endlessly😍😍❤❤❤
A masterpiece, men who play a Cello without words, en there expression means goodbye, and you can feel it. Can someone do this better?.... Heartbreaking, touching, Goodbye it means, but not in my heart... I will stick around. You've got me!...
For me this is a very expressive song, when you lost something that you love very much and you say "Farewell" for a reason, whatever, at the end of this song i can imagine saying Farewell with very sadness!!a Beautiful song!!!!
I'm really happy I found Apocalyptica again. I bought the first album in '96 and loved it, but then didn't keep following them.. don't know why.. I kept listening to the album every now and then, but now I've got the 2 newest albums as well and I love their music! Soon I'll have them all! The music is heart breakingly beautiful.
If I could only choose one song to keep with me for the rest of my life, this would be it. I think this is one of the best songs ever written. I especially love the album version where the ending trails off......
saw them live a few weeks ago and i cant believe just how good they are. every song was amazing. but this one is special, i can listen to it forever without getting tired of it
I decided to watch this again this evening and as I was watching it, a lightning storm started outside. Just as the song got really intense, there was this big rumble of thunder. Only thing better than that was actually going to one of their concerts... man they're awesome!
Truly beautiful music and watching their faces as they play is so insipirational. I wish they had a bigger audience, because they deserve it with this talent.
the thirst day i've listened to this song it did not know the title. but i was thinking about saying goodbye forever(farewell), and it was true. this song means farewell. It's gorgeous!
This music fills my mind with something i can only describe as "healing sadness", thks for the uploader and cheers for the ppl that used some time of theyr lifes to make music like this.
drums and cello...the most amazing combination in the whole universe!!!!! idc who u are if you don't like these guys then you don't have any since in music AT ALL
I found this song shortly after my uncle passed away unexpectedly. It's incredible how music delivers all the emotions without a single word. In my playlist this song will always be dedicated to him. 🖤
When I hear this song I feel like crying and I do not know why. It is perfectly heartfelt ... favorite to watch the live version, as supplied by the big guys feelings ... Just perfect ... but they are all songs from Apocalyptica:)
Nobody can find words to describe this fantastic song. only the emotions which we feel by listening to it can describe a little part of it. I love this song for the purity of the emotions which it generates. Listen to it in silence :D ^^
My favorite piece of music ever. When I'm stressed out from a crazy, hectic day at work, I get in my car and put this in and turn it up and I immediately start to calm down. I saw these guys in Little Rock, AR a few years back and it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen or heard and I've been to quite a few concerts.
Des moments privilégiés de douceur et de qualité artistique.....merci pour ce cadeau que vous nous offrez ...! comme c'est beau .... amicalement.... le rêveur
I just saw Apocalyptica live in Edmonton. Would have loved to hear this, as it is my favourite song. But I'm not even angry, since everything they played was just so spectacular (and the audience was more 'metal-heads' I guess). Thanks Apocalyptica, come back to Edmonton/Vancouver. Would love to see you again!
Paavo's smile is so perfect. One of my many favorite songs, though this is a 4 cello piece, so they either had the "Second" cello (second highest) coming through speakers or dubbed it.
one of the biggest reasons i love apocalyptica is because when they play music they actually get into the emotion that each song is supose to give even if they are bangin thier head. most bands i mean just play the instraments these guys rely feel the message that the song gives. you can see it in their facial expressions
i saw these guys earlier in the year and was hoping the would have played this song. They didnt but it was still the best show i'd seen in a long time.
From about 4:37 it's just like someones screaming, crying, for you not to go! Like it just tears at the heart the way the Cello can express that kind of emotion, that raw pain of leaving and/or losing someone. Amazing song....
