Can't wait to order mine! I've got the '23 Phantom & love it, but need something I can commute with in the rain. My Phantom folds up & goes easily in the back seat of my '16 Subaru. Any input on portability? It's a lot lighter than most in the class. I have regen brakes on my Phantom & use them 100% of the time. You'll know if you don't already, how you get your timing down with the regen. You kind of have to let them 'build up'. I find them SO much better than any brakes I've used before, but the one scenario where regen brakes are useless (at least on the Phantom), is high-speed emergency stops. I've heard some guys are able to lock up the wheels really hard with the drum brakes, but you have to kind of work them in for a while first. Can't speak on that for myself, anyway. Are you in Canada? Congrats on the Pro, subscribed, hope to hear your take on it in rough roads, rain, etc. Keep the rubber side down!
This is my first time using a Regen brake and it's very good. It will stop you in time for everything except a stop on a dime stop. Very cool to have the app integration. I have ridden it for a straight week and I will be following up with another 1st week review. It's a good scooter but I am going to show some ergonomic changes in my review that I know will help Apollo and potential buyers. Stay tuned!!!
@@GearWave Will do, thanks. First thing I'll do when I get my next scooter is get a lower-stem light rack to cover the ground ahead. Something expensive, with at least 3k lumens. I have one mounted on my handlebars, a single 2.5k lumen light, but I'd rather something lower & while still aiming down, I'd like it to cover enough ground ahead that 65km/h in the dark, I'd see a pothole or skunk or other stuff I've almost crashed into. Something that won't blind cars, kind of a rally car setup. The 12" tires on the Pro are a lot less risky than the tiny 10" tires on my Phantom, but I do have a complaint about the Pro's top speed. For the price, it should be more. Apollo are smart in keeping the scooter light & they're not falling for the top speed dare they all seem to have, but for the price, I'd want it a little faster. Nami Burn-E2 Max is the best non-boutique scooter on the market still, but the Pro is way cheaper & I don't think the 70km/h - 100km/h range & the loss of portability is worth the extra $2k it costs over the Pro.
