Thanks for this. I was torn between the Apollo and Punk and decided against Apollo for this very reason. I am very happy with my decision and saved a decent chunk of change in the process. They need to either lower the price or increase the specs and not add insult to injury by charging extra for shipping insurance on top of sales tax. The Punk was tax and shipping free and although it arrived with some minor cosmetic due to shipping damage the company was quick to send replacement parts at no cost. Apollo asked me to fill a survey and they got the same feedback from me so you're not alone 😂. Only time will tell if Apollo will react.

Same. I got the Punk for like $1,200 all in with no added shipping or taxes. Smooth ride, nice acceleration, the lighting is great and has received many compliments.

They do decent social media marketing by telling people what they want to hear. but people that knows scooters, know they out of there mind. their scooters are not double over price, but triple! 4k for that pro? thats dualtron 3, Roadrunner Rx7, Inmotion RS, Teverun Supreme, and Burn E Max territory.

Thanks for the review man! One important thing to note is that the other companies mentioned in the comments are not paying import taxes! There is currently a 25% import taxes on E scooter, and it’s simply impossible to make a roadrunner or any other big scooters and sell it for 4K$ if you pay this import taxes… I understand at Apollo we do charge a premium , but we hire over 50 people locally, pay our taxes and find the way to innovate…

Hey Kizi, don't worry about how you're perceived by Apollo - most people thought the same thing. The scooter IS innovative. It's still portable, it's got IP66, 12" wheels, remote locking, fantastic regen braking, it's a huge leap forward for scooters in MY pov, which is all I can speak for really. Almost all the things I don't like about my '23 Apollo Phantom are fixed on the Pro. I'd like the Pro to get a strong headlight & another 10km/h, but the tech is pretty cutting edge & to have resilient, reliable PEVs is a huge deal. I think Apollo (tho I can't speak for them of course) initially got worried about how much this flagship PEV cost them in R&D, maybe they felt they were owed a little more than a reasonable price. Nami *kind of* still rules the production, non-boutique market, but the Pro is a top 3 regardless. The price now ($3300 USD, $4000 CDN) is much more in line with what they're worth. I've had 3000 kms on my Phantom & it's paid for itself with all the gas money I've saved, not to mention the fun. But batteries have a finite lifetime. I'd like to get to the point where a 3, 4 yr old scooter is WORTH getting a new battery pack for. Reliability & increased battery safety & capacity will drive the latest tech now. Frames will become lighter, electronics will improve (hopefully the remote rearview mirror view on the dash I've been begging for, wireless charging mats, better software), and the battle to keep them legal despite their speed will continue. But battery improvements will impress me more than anything. I can replace or fix anything on a scooter, but it's got to be worth fixing. EDIT: I also think overall, the unreliability of the earlier Apollo scooters meant they had to dig deeper for satellite bike shops repairing warrantied scooters, tech support, an average at best website with dead ends, vague part descriptions, unavailability of parts, If they focus on reliability like they are with the Pro, we'll see some capital freed up for the Pro2 R&D.

Say what you want, to ME the DUALTRON scooters ARE THE nicest looking and absolutely most reliable scoots out there! Simple lines, wide deck and fast enough speeds! I do NOT look at anything else.

Yep, i to got a into it with the Bald guy from Apollo over pricing over performance of segway and he got pretty pissed and now doesnt reply to my comments anymore. Infact i wouldn't be surprised if he shadow banned me hahahaha. Its all good man. They make nice scooters but segway knows what they are doing and how to market the sales. I was going to buy my son the Apollo Go and ended up buying him a Solar EQ which is way higher performing than Apollo. 😂👊

@eloipecquet it would be impossible for me to find the comments during your live streams, sir. Also, your answers of (Never Gonna Happen) or (No, Never) doesnt help me with wanting to buy one of your products. Though i did test out the pro and did love it i wont denie that, there are other scooters that have larger batteries for better range that cost less than what you guys are still charging for the pro. For the record, if it wasn't for your sarcastic chuckle when you gave your replies to me, i would have bought the Go and the Pro. I'm just saying.

I've got the same brakes on my '23 Phantom (Pro's young brother) & though I hate the term, it was a 'game changer' for sure. Planned stops happen a lot later.

They're trying to make the most money with very little. They know the market but once consumers start calling em out on their b.s. they don't like that naturally. The sales don't lie either. People talk with their wallets and when no one is buying that should tell them.
