Bears and snakes are two of many reasons I don't hike. I am thankful that you are sharing your AT hike. I get to see places I'll never go to. I do understand how you feel about snakes and bears.

Congrats on seeing the bear! New Jersey is known for its bear population, but i'm surprised you made it through PA without seeing one. Maybe that's because they're in peoples back yards robbing the feeders. 🤣🐻

That is awesome that you got to go to and sleep at a Drive-in. I remember as a kid going and cost was calculated per person and we had a huge family and lots of blankets 😂😂😂

I'm definitely getting an umbrella holder! Last time I just stuck the handle through my chest strap, which wasn't bad, but this looks much better. Thanks! Oh! and I saw two bears as I was walking out of Unionville, because it was trash day in town and their back up signal is like a dinner bell to the bears. 😆 I don't know if you remember the town Sapulpa being mentioned in Twisters, but it's just down the road from my house. It's where I do most of my shopping.

Where did you get your gaitors? The tall ones on your shoes. I live in Florida and I would love those to walk the beach or for ticks! ( my biggest fear, lol)

Sadly that movie was always free for many years. I'm thinking it just changed this year? I watch people through hike every year on RU-vid and everybody says it's free.
