Just one simple remark I have: I'm not entirely certain, but during our studies of appendicitis, our professor emphasized that it would never develop pneumoperitoneum as a complication, since the appendix is typically obstructed and filled with inflammatory fluid. hey! When it comes to the epidemiology, is it not the other way around?? fecalith is more common in adults and lymphoid tissue hyperplasia in children/young adults. I only checked Osmosis and Amboss but that's what they say.
