Inguinal canal

Let's look at the inguinal canal and talk about how it is formed, but we shouldn't go into crazy detail listing all the structures that contribute to different bits of it. Instead, let's focus on the the key principles involved to make sure we all understand how the inguinal canal is formed (so first we'll look at the muscle layers of the abdominal walls), what runs through it, and why it is important and interesting.

13:55 around this time he starts talking about inguinal canal. Before that he was talking about muscles and other elements of thoracic wall. This was mainly a bookmark for me, but I hope this will help some of you, who are watching, too. ^_^

On researching about hernias I came across your presentations , on my husbands e - address, in particular the Inguinal Canal clip. I am a TVT Mesh injured patient. This area was damaged by the 5" needles which were passed through my lower abdomen, via the vagina. I now understand my injury and why my left leg function has been impaired for the past ten years. Thank you. Ingrid H.

I am a retired RN. Gosh, I sure wish I had this channel to watch when I was in nursing school. My school was lacking an anatomy class because it was a very new school and so, I am missing a huge part of what should have been my education. I guess it is better late than never. Thank you for your wonderful explanations.

Your explanation of how the external oblique curves around together with the transversals fascia and then becomes part of the inguinal canal is the best explanation I’ve ever heard. Please keep making these videos , you have a talent for explaining anatomically difficult concepts. Thanks again
