The claim to fame of Appetite Classic restaurant in Mapusa are the amazing views from here, aa feast for the stomach and the eyes. Maria, Evelyn and I visited to check out the views.

Most tables on the first level are set beside large picture windows designed to take advantage of this restaurant’s setting in the green hills of Alto Duler. This first level is air conditioned. The views of elegant mango and nirponnos (breadfruit) trees outside these large windows are very entertaining.
Upstairs, the view is even more stunning. This upstairs area is open, with a large central space where the live music happens 5 times a week. You can see till the ghats of Bicholim taluka beyond Thivim from some of these tables.
Somehow, the view makes one more hungry! We had some crisp xinaneo (Rs 425) to tide us over till our thalis arrive.
And now, the moment we’ve been waiting for since leaving home this morning. Our thalis are ready. Maria is having a veg thali (Rs 180), Evelyn is having modso thali (Rs 195) and I am having prawns (Rs 240).
The prawns thali had two rawa fried prawns, fish curry, dry prawns kismur, squid tentacles chilli fry, bhendi bhaji, sol/futi kadi, salad, pickle, gulab jamun and rice. Maria's veg thali had dal, batata fodi, papadum and tandoori roti. And Evelyn's fish thali had a lovely piece of fried modso.
For dessert, the thali came with gulab jamun and we also enjoyed tender coconut ice cream (Rs 125).
