Nor trying to sound snobby but DLC is a type of PVD coating. Meaning it utilizes physical vapor deposition to coat the item in diamond like carbon. Know this because I spent a while looking up a pen for EDC and this was one of the various options and they went through the process.

Elisa dos Reis omg i just noticed i typt €600 but it was €800 and it’s a refurbished iphone but they took care of it pretty well. It was priced off tho so guess i’m lucky to just pay €800 because it has 256gb storage. Everything works fine.

joe rothwein note 8 comes with fast charger, a headphone jack, $100 worth of headphones, free wireless charger + 128gb memory card or 360 camera. That's $500 right there. Note 8 has an S pen larger screen that's 1200nits (double the iPhones x 565 nits). Also expandable memory so if you spend $1060 on 64gb iPhone X and realize in a week it's not enough for 4K 60fps recording , you don't get fucked. Note 8 also has Iris scanner faceID and Fingerprint scanner.... So imo 940 is not a reach. With all the freebees it's more like $600.

And Apple has by far the most powerful SOC and the only fully developed facial recognition system. It also does not have the manufacturers overlay including bloatware of the competitor. Does not need a memory card (which are a lot slower than on board memory) as you can use iCloud for storage. What good are all the nits when I alraedy have to turn down the brightness to keep from straining my eyes? The iPhone is also able to record 4K video at 60 fps. So, in other words, both phones have their reason to be at that particular price point.

LightningGmr google is selling $850 dollar smartphone and can’t include headphones don’t complain I rather have headphones then a fast charger. And a lot of people keep saying Apple should have put airpods in the iPhone X I disagree they can barely make them now and you want them to fall behind

I agree, a compact fast charger design would also be welcome. They would also have to include a USB-C to Lightning cable which would probably be controversial to people who don't use USB-C unless they have new Macs.

That is a good point. A lot of people are slowly adapting to USB-C and it does seem to be the industry standard. I wonder if the next iteration of the iPhone X will be come with those included next.

LightningGmr there is no reason for Apple to switch to Type C. Type C is a huge improvement over Micro USB, but doesn’t have universal standards for it. This is even more so if Apple is trying to find a way to remove that port entirely.

The phone cost 1k. That’s what you’re paying for. All the other stuff has a hefty price too. If you decide to cut the budget on the phone then you can include accessories like a fast charger or wireless charger. But I rather have a proper product and buy what I think is needed to charge my phone with or what I want to listen with.
