look at the geekbench numbers, they are 50% better than the early 2020 macbooks (and pretty much everything else including the iMacs)

It will, the OS will be updated for like 3-5 years easily. The hardware is top notch. So it will last him at least a decade, yes

It should do. Apple don’t make junk. I’m still happily using my 2009 MBP (although it has been up-spec’d to 8GB Ram & 512 SSD) and it can still do everything I ask from it. Plus it’s an absolute show piece, work of art which still puts a smile on my face every time I use it. These things are built to last

Let's say M1 can only max at 20W but intel chip could go to 30W, then intel would easily beat m1 in performance with only compromise being battery life (and we still don't know how much will be that)

No lol, theyre covering they own back, if you claim your better than Dells laptop with 2x performance Dell can take you to court and sue you for false marketing where you either prove your claim or pay up. Either way theyre avoiding legal issues

But honestly there are many small things that apple does so much better which makes such a huge difference and windows is so goddamn stupid a lot of times like needing to go into the registry to change things.

Their RAM will be the same story here - it’ll likely be among the highest performing RAM on the market compared to anything else.
