Apple Notes Runs My Life 

I've been using Apple Notes for over 10 years....I have over 14,000 notes.

This is golden. I have been bouncing back and forth between Bear, Apple Notes, and Crafts. Given all I need to accomplish can be done in Apple Notes, I think that is what I will stick to... at least for now. Thank you for showing a few use cases that would actually be useful for me as well.

Great video and I feel the same. I want the structure of a Second Brain approach, but implemented in a minimal way. Apple Notes is perfect for that.

Great video on notes, as a new iPad / iPhone user after years of Windblows and Droids, this video showed me better use of this app. I’m currently using notes for different things like my passwords lists and groceries and things I want to remember but as a planner, this is unique!

I love Notes and Reminders. I use Reminders for lists such as shopping or for things that I need to be REMINDED about 😉

I went the same route. Used Obsidian + TeuxDeux until I got my MacBook Pro half a year ago. Since I am fully entrenched in the Apple ecosystem now, I realised using Apple Notes would be the best, easiest, fastest solution.

The one feature that makes apple notes my #1 is the ability to start a note from lock screen. THAT alone makes it the closest to a pen and paper system more than anything!

Aaron, fine video. Clearly, you're a professional at such stuff. Here's a couple other ideas for your to consider with Apple Notes that you may want to try out to see if they would be helpful for you. #1 - Tags - - - This is now a standard function of Notes. They are a great way to categorize Notes. Finding specific Notes is easier with Tags than typing in a search word. - - - I also really like clicking on 2 Tags to get a list of Notes that have both. #2 - Template Folder - There may be some types of Notes that you duplicate for use in a slightly different situation. Perhaps create a template for such Notes and placing them all in a separate folder would be helpful.

Is there any way to have a digital diary to journal using apple notes. Like you can journal date wise on Day one app

I have been finding that adapting to a simple system is easier than to simplify a complex one. I could use Notion for example and do an all-in-one system for task and project management. But it’s a bit like driving a super car to the grocery store.

Awesome video. Something different and refreshing in approach to looking for a simple yet effective note taking solution which does not force down our collective throats the myriad of note taking apps that are so numerous and often confusing to choose. I just wish the Apple would just create cross-platform apps (for Windows and Android, like they did with their Apple Music app) this I think would make them slowly pivot from being a company that just sells a lot of iPhones and slowly lure more users into their ecosystem and make inroads as a company that also makes excellent SaaS solutions for the masses. Imagine if they compete directly with Facebook’s (sorry, Meta’s) WhatsApp with their also very good iMessage app. Meaning I can collaborate with others regardless of where they are iPhone users or not…

I would definitely be interested in hearing more about working for nonprofit/service orgs as a digital marketer.

Thank you, Aaron, interesting and useful video. I will definitely use Notes more often now. Only a small technical suggestion about your video: every couple of seconds, your video goes a bit out of focus. This is very annoying, specially if watched on a bigger screen. The suggestion is to fix the focus point on your camera (do not let it go automatic).

Hi, still using Apple notes? I am between apps and don’t want to pay subscription any more - I am paint for bear. So woder if you stick to Apple notes?

OmniFocus + Apple Calendars is how I work. Apple notes is fine, but I need deadlines to drive my productivity

I mean who has time to do this. If I had time to do this, I wouldn’t need notes, because I wouldn’t have a job or money.
