People used to be amazed because smartphones were so new and we didn’t know what to expect. That’s changed. We expect so much now, and take things like 4k 60fps for granted. 3D Touch was a great innovation looked over. The haptic engine, Face ID, Neural engine, insanely fast new apple made gpus and image processors. Apple is beginning to make a lot more of the iPhone in house instead of going through third parties. There’s a lot going on that’s innovative. You can tell when lots of companies follow apple’s decision on things. Headphones jack, and Face ID are two most recent ones. Face ID was tried by Qualcomm yet they had problems and stalled the project to see what apple did to fix their problem. This was reported a few months ago. I saw some galaxy s9 leaks with a notch appearing at the top of the phone, but it won’t get as much hate because they’re not apple. Innovation is innovation no matter how big or groundbreaking it is.

Apple wants taxpayer to buy a new $75 million freeway overpass next to it's campus because the bridge was not designed to handle so much traffic. Apple pays it's executives $20 million a year. Apple can afford to pay for the overpass.

It just boggles my mind that the US is over 20 TRILLION dollars in debt and these huge tech giants can simply refuse to pay the billions of dollars in taxes they owe every year and they still enjoy all of the services the state provides paid for by the taxes the little guy has to pay ... refuse to pay our taxes and the state puts you in jail or takes your house! Politicians are elected and paid by taxpayers to represent the interests of the public but they are clearly puppets owned by corporate interests and the American people just sit back and let it happen. WHY?

Maybe if the US lowers their corporate tax rate (currently at 35%) maybe these companies will start paying taxes. Don’t just blame the companies, there’s a reason why they aren’t paying taxes.

They are not paying taxes because the IRS isn't enforcing it thanks to loopholes politicians knowingly leave in the tax laws. Lowering corporate taxes is nice to help new businesses open up and actually stay open without drowning in debt, but to think it'll make them pay taxes when they use LEGAL loopholes to avoid it in the first place is not only naive, it's intellectually dishonest.
