Adding in - yes, it´s good that you took the time for the impaired people. The vision pro allows a glimpse in a maybe general very practical tool to help vision and hearing impaired people. Imagine a world where a "zoom" is always with you as a visually impaired

I am a visually impaired user as well. I love Apple products for many reasons one being the accessibility features. I bought a Vision Pro today and I have to tell you the VP is very accessibility friendly. I use zoom, large fonts and head tracking , everything is so intuitive. I am so so so impressed, the VP is AMAZING. It works beautifully and I have several eye conditions I was concerned about… Schedule a demo and discuss your concerns with the Apple rep.

I don’t usually comment on videos, but I am a blind, voiceover, user, and ironically, I just googled the accessibility features for Vision Pro. It is nice to see one of my RU-vidrs actually going in depth into those settings, instead of all of the other settings. It is nice to see a RU-vidr, who I have been watching for a long time, actually dive into the settings and show them in depth for people who may not know about them..

As someone with a nystagmus disease (uncontrolled eye movements) I was worried not being able to use this product ever. I’m happy Apple thought about all this and implemented a lot of accessibilities like different font sizes, eye movement stabilisation and other gestures than your eyes. Amazing! Thank your for your important video.

I have nystagmus as well, I am able to get through the set up process but then receive message stating "unsuccessful" , however you are then given the options to use head, index finger or wrist as pointer... I use head which feels natural because you are still looking at things....I had the same concern and was very nervous in the beginning while at Apple Store to demo.....

Thank you so much Brian. I am legally blind and completely rely on my Apple products in my daily life to help with various things like magnifying or reading. It is a breathe of fresh air to see Apple has not left the disabled community hanging concerning this product. There will be a learning curve regardless of how long a person has been using Apple accessibility. Thank you for taking the time to share the accessibility functions and options on the Vision Pro. It is much appreciated by all users.

Same here, love Apple products for many reasons, one being their accessibility features. My Apple Watch and iPhone make my life so much easier, so many tasks would be difficult without them. I bought a Vision Pro today and it does everything I imagined. Viewing movies, tv, photos, reading is so effortless with the large screens and the zoom capabilities. I use zoom, large text and head input and they just work seamlessly 😊, they really do. The Vision Pro will charge your life. I played around with it 4 hours and all I could say was “oh my God”. I felt like a child on Christmas morning. Schedule a demo and discuss your concerns with Apple rep. I hope you get the chance to try one out because I’ve been waiting for a device like the VP and it’s here. It’s not perfect but 95 percent there in my book. Just wanted to share this ✌🏻.

Another blind voiceover user here chiming in to add how appreciated this video is! After watching these reviews and the longest one on MKBHD’s channel, my first thought was how nice it’d be if someone did a deeper dive into the accessibility features of Vision Pro. Turns out Brian already had us covered! Been subscribed for years and following Brian for well over a decade. Absolutely love this big of a tech channel dedicating a whole video to accessibility. Really looking forward to the amount of accessibility Vision Pro will bring to the VR headset space overall and more videos on using it. :)

Brian, thanks for the in-depth look at the accessibility settings! As someone with extremely limited mobility, I appreciate seeing the possibility of how I can actually use this device. At this point, there have been very limited articles and documentation on the accessibility features of the AVP so this is tremendously helpful. Hello, thank you for covering what you could for Accessibility. I think you're the first person actually seen to even acknowledge these features for the Apple Vision Pro. Many of the features do indeed seem to carry over from iOS, which is a great thing. As a legally blind User who often uses voiceover, and covers voiceover accessible content on my channel, I would really love to learn more about how it works in more of a spatial interface. How do gestures work for both sequentially going through content, using Explore by touch, and even things like using the virtual keyboard with voiceover on. I would also be curious how things work if someone has nystagmus, rapid eye movement, and can't visually focus on the things to interact with them that way. I would love to cover this headset for my channel, but you know, $4000 and all.

Thank you so much for doing this! I experience multiple physical challenges including cerebral palsy and vision. My eye tracking is terrible, but I can use my fingers to point to things. I also use voice control on my Mac as well as larger print. I have a general rule of computing which is," if I can't touch it or talk to it, I'm not doing it." I am super excited about the accessibility possibilities for vision pros pass-through. These are things you probably have never thought of but suppose you could write an app that would magnify the small print on the back of packages. You could then take your vision pro to the grocery store and actually read the ingredients and prices. You could even use OCR for the system to look at what you're looking at and speak it out loud. This would bring incredible independence! That's why I am super excited about vision pro and now I know I can get one once the price comes down a bit. In the meantime I really want to learn Swift so I can develop an app like the one I've just described. If somebody else does that before I do, that's OK. I'm just really looking forward to the new possibilities vision pro presents!

It will be a cool accessibility feature if we can look at someone physically through the avp or via FaceTime and have the person’s dialogue come out as subtitles. Even cooler if we can have live translate of those conversations appear as subtitles in your language. Similar to what some apps and Samsung’s live translate and transcript is doing. But with avp we have it appear as visual subtitles (or audio)

Thanks Brian for doing the video. I have a physical disability that does not allow me to use my limbs. I operate my Apple devices completely by voice using Apple's accessibility feature Voice Control. Just to be clear, I use my Mac without a keyboard or mouse. I use my iPhone and iPad without touching the screen. I was hoping Voice Control was enabled on the Apple Vision Pro. I'm glad to see it is. There is a feature in Apple's Voice Control called overlay that allows you to interact with UI elements by speaking. It's there with Apple Vision Pro's accessibility Feature Voice Control. If you get brave turn Voice control's on and choose item number. See if you can choose UI elements by simply saying the number. By the way unlike Siri dictation Voice Control dictation has manners. You do not need to leave the microphone listening and have a bunch of text typed that you will have to clean up later. If you need to talk to someone simply say go to sleep, or stop listening. To wake up the microphone by voice simply say wake up, or start listening. Once again thank you for taking the time to do this video.

You zipped over Reduce Motion pretty quickly. On other Apple kit, it does still parallax, but also various other animated effects, such as Dock zoomes window zooms, sliding panels, etc. Mostly, these are then replaced by crossfades. It’d be interesting to know whether visionOS has animated elements that are calmed with that feature. (Although looking at your video, the animation within the OS is less aggressive than eg iOS. When you’re going back and forth between Settings panes, there’s no slide animation, for one thing. There is some zooming, but it’s fast and relatively subtle.)

In a nutshell for someone being visually impaired, this device is the glimpse into a future that might change the game. I already came across a video where someone tested the vision pro for 24h - just to "feel" the impact. In that, she used the device in casual work like cooking. And here - if the zoom really holds up to Apples typical quality, it just might get rid of all "zoom" and magnifier helpers. Of course you can buy a magnifier glas block, zoom glasses, a giant 57" wide screen monitor with activated zoom (windows / mac), zoom-reading device etc. AND have them available where you need them (on the go?) .. but when this gets smaller, lighter that includes vision impaired people much better. Also: looking at a text on screen or in real world, OCRing it in realtime and getting a text to speech instantly might even help nearly blind and blind people. I had my fingers crossed that apple would be the one who takes care as they have such a good track-record on their accessability features (even not calling them "features for disabled") - and they delivered.

Does anyone know if the zoom magnifier can magnify EVERYTHING in the video passthrough or ONLY augmented windows and digital content? I hope it's everything, the vision pro could give someone a pseudo-"far-sightnedness". Also would have loved to see what "button shapes" actually does here and if it's different from iOS where it just "underlines some text" instead of, ya know, *actually having button shapes*. This was an okay deep-dive but didn't actually SHOW what these settings are like or do half the time.

I haven't seen that anywhere yet, so at the moment I don't believe so.

9:05 What surprises me is how poor the Apple's hand tracking is compared to Meta's. Meta's hand tracking feels like the pointer is a natural extension of your hand, rather than just "a calculated estimation from a camera feed"

Watched Marques video and had to run to this video. I asked this question to all the content creators this? Would you pay 4k for a Vision Pro Or $4k to finally face time on an Apple Watch with clarity??

Did you watch my full review. That's for you to decide, and this is not a product for everyone right now. I breakdown what is possible and then you decide.

i dont see how this replaces any of my apple devices. the computer screen is super tiny and far away so i'll still have to use keyboard shortcuts to do stuff on my computer or sync projects between my iphone and computer. no interest typing on that tiny keyboard. im gonna wait until apple improves the interface. i remember last year someone went over what this would do and maybe i had my hopes up but its interface seemed way more accessible. im curious why they scrapped it or if the technology required too much resources and they wanted to save money. who knows.

I’ve heard there’s an accessibility option for one hand users but I’ve yet to see it demo’d and am curious about it, as I have a paralyzed arm. I’m sure a video will come out in the future but If anyone has an info on it I’d love to hear what you know. Links welcome.

Don't worry about the stablenees, man. That's something apple can fix. 👍

It's stable for me, just like our eyes are two cameras but our brain compensates for what we see. But the recording isn't.

At least hosts on legacy TV know to wear shoes. Some of us aren't into the primitive thing, especially in a high-end tech review. Maybe surf boards. Lol

Keep up the great work & I like your stilo on that reply Bro! btw You did a more comprehensive, real world review of the vision pro than any of the other 5 or 6 top channels I watched. Thanks for that!@@briantong

@Brian, brother! PLEASE GO BACK TO Assistive Gesture and explore more! If there's ANYTHING else I wanted to see, it's that part because it could potentially mean the user have more than Pinch to interact with AVP! And The interface you triple pinched indicates "pinch or swipe" or a combination of those. BASICALLY WAVING YOUR HAND LIKE A WAND :D ! I know you're hard at work but you skimmed over that so fast whilst I've been thinking about it for years :D imagine waving your hand and being teleported to the moon. or drawing a triangle to teleport to the office environment and activate Work focus. now I understand that it's "soft locked" behind the assistive touch menu before you can start waving the wand and also, false positives... and finally, limitations of things you can attach to a gesture... but just imagine.... Please can you explore this? Is there a way to activate "gesture listening" on the fly like a triple tap on the crown?

in addition to the above common, you don't have to necessarily turn on voice over, but please go through some of the commands that is available. also, if you know of how to turn on voice over at the start of visionpro and no, you do not have to set up vision pro for the first time and go for the walkthrough voice over style, at least try and find the command to do so. i wonder if it's a triple tap of the crown. the only mentionings of demonstrations with voice over and the division pro in more detail, is through wwdc 23 coverage in june from last year. if you do wish to try out voice over and turn it on/off at will, you can simply say to siri turn on voice over and turn off voice over. update! i saw that you mentioned the triple crown at the end. nice work!
