Hi, everyone! We only answer queries on our Facebook page: facebook.com/USEmbassyPH/. Like us on Facebook to get updates from the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines! Thank you!
This is the VIDEO that non-immigrant applicants should really watch! This video helped me become well-informed and well-prepared about how things will turn out in the embassy. This is the BRIEFEST summary of everything you need! Please don't lurk so much on the negative notion about the application process and focus your energy on positivity. After all, your honesty, preparedness and modest confidence are the factors you really need to have the US visa you'd been wanting! Good luck everyone! (Rewatching this video again after my visa got approved this morning!)
Thank you to the officer at 3:11 for approving my fiancee's visa! My fiancee mentioned how kind you and the rest of the embassy staff were. She can now join me back in the US as my wife :) . Thank you all so much for your good work!
I have some doubts about H4 visa can you help me please. After I got a visa H1B I married, what is the procedure for my wife to get a visa, how long it can last ?
Special mention to the staff of u.s embassy. And..mr remittar a security guard who assisted my wife inside the embassy..he was so nice to help us .my wife suffered a severe back pain due to cramps. He approached us together with a staff (forgot to get her name)if everything was ok. He even gave a simple massage on my wife as a first aid on cramps.thank you sir and mam.btw we are so lucky that our tourist visa was granted...God bless all of you.
melioraeligo The interview was so smooth but syempre yung queueing lang ang matagal. I forgot na 3 years ago na kasi. 😂😅 also my mom is a flight attendant sa emirates airlines that’s why hindi siguro ako na deny.
Well I like the how you give this tips to us, but however that's still make no sense since the consul is still the who holds our chances and 1 percent to get in there, give judgements about us which is not true, not a fact because they don't believe of what we say to them but they just believe of they believe and feeling.
US Embassy Manila's service is a big slapped for everyone. There's an appointment system which is pointless because you're still going to line up. No facility to leave your things. No parking spaces. WTF? Seriously For 7K? At least have people who'd service with a smile! Where do you get your staff? from DVSoria?
There's just way too many applicants, that's all. If Filipinos aren't that crazy in going to the US, and bombing isn't a thing, it wouldn't be that bad. They process 2k applications/ day, and they are not really obliged to provide extra service. Once inside the embassy, you are provided with a seat and air-conditioning. I personally consider that a humane treatment.
That would have been an ok treatment if you don't pay an absurd amount of money. Other embassies can do so much better. Well that maybe just because they have less applicants, but if you have 2k applicants and with every applicant paying at least 7k, I think they can do better.
By the way, I'm not saying that there shouldn't be an appointment system. I'm saying that they should improve it as the queues are chaotic. So much confusion going on because the appointment system is not working as it should be. You've got other people who's scheduled for later hours but gets in earlier because they are a large group and you have these other people who came alone getting pushed to a later queue.
I plan to apply for non immigrant visa this month, i am so excited to tour around the city of california and see the golden gate of san francisco, and eat their popular food :)
I got denied by the consular officer, bad thing is she did not let me explain well she just hurried up the interview like true or false questionaire. What a dissapointment i hope she will experience the dissapointment and fraustration that i felt.
Francis Tanpinco when you go to the interview your answers should be short and concise. Present documents and elaborate your answers only when asked. Know that they have ways to verify the info you made in your application form and the interview is only a formality. Make sure that your answers matched the entries in your application form. Be truthful and honest.
Tried to have my cousin visit the US, she told she the guy never once gave her eye contact and literally spent 15 seconds on her application and denied her with no explanation. Boy, as an American I wish I would have been there to try that crap in front of me.
wow..congratz..good for you...whats the purpose of ur application..is it for family..business or study? i would to get information from you..my bf is in U.S he's inviting me to visit him and introduce me to his family..😊
If you can stablish your ties to your home country, -and you will not be another illegal immigrant to the US, That is the time you can get a US visa,--First you must be in a good financial and secured work, and a good and honest reason.
@@melioraeligo eto po ang sinasabi ng US Embassy tungkol sa Ties Strong ties differ from country to country, city to city, and individual to individual. Some examples of ties can be a job, a house, a family, a bank account. "Ties" are the various aspects of your life that bind you to your country of residence: your possessions, employment, social and family relationships.
HOPING TO VISIT U.S.A someday.. :) Ever since I'm young, my dream is to go to AMERICA (LAND OF THE FREE and the HOME of the BRAVE) specially when the Americans are here in the Philippines my dream is to visit NEW YORK or anywhere in U.S.A even for 5 days. One day I will apply for Non-Immigrant Visa :) Hoping that I will pass the interview.
I was told even if my wife shows ties she will still get denied. Everyone I know has been denied a tourist visa. My wife has a beach cottage rental for income, a lot, and a house. We have no desire to live in the US. We just want to go for 3-4 months to get my annual to my VA DR and update my meds. I don't want to pay and get denied.
This video is definitely helpful. It has been a while since I had my US visa application (K1) back then it was not electronically done, we had to submit all the documents to the Embassy in Manila. My parents are going to apply for a US tourist visa soon- I have additional question, will the proof of ties and other supporting documents be needed during the interview? This was not mentioned in the video , I guess because these are just supplementary? But is it during the interview process that these supplementary documents be brought and presented to the officer ( if asked )? Thanks for the information, looking forward.
My daughter just granted her US citizenship last August, she's 7 years old last August 20, 2014. Her father want her to fly to the US for visiting and tour beautiful places in USA. We are planning to get a tourist visa for me as her mother to accompany my daughter to fly to the USA and also we could spend time altogether for a few months with her father which is my fiancé and enjoy exploring the beautiful places during our visit. My question is, what type of visa shall I apply to accompany my child to USA to visit her father which is my fiancé?
i dont know what happened there embassy manila..i try 3 times to get visa b1 non immigrant my friend invite me for vacation to see her house and what is the beautiful places in America because thats my dream ..but all is nothing i provided all and round of ticket..but they not give me a chance ..not good always spend money
At yung mga ticket at ibang documents mo huwag mong i bibigay hanggat di nila hinihingi. Meron kasing naapprove di na nya kailangan i present mga documents nya e, sinabi lang nya suweldo nya ok na. Note: B1, or 'Visitor for Business' Visa. In practice these visas are invariably issued as jointly with B2, or 'Visitor for Pleasure' (i.e. Tourist) visa. See Reference www.workpermit.com/us/employer_b1_b2.htm
My family house was destroyed in the hurricane they lost everything they are from Roseau Dominica, they recently went to the us embassy in Barbados they were rudely denied now all 4 of them including a baby has to go back by this Monday to that destroyed country and stay in a shelter.
What does "application received" mean after being in "administrative processing" for 21 days? What are they doing? What are the potential outcomes? What follows "application received"? They have had our case and documents since march. We were in "administrative processing" for the last 21 days, now is has changed.

My boyfriend from US is planning to file me a K-1 VISA and I was told that I might need a police clearance from Saudi Arabia since I have lived there for 3 years but I have heard that there is no need to submit police clearance from certain countries like Kuwait, UEA, Saudi Arabia and Libya. PLEASE HELP ME
In the Philippines, the standard application fee for a tourist visa application is the Philippine peso equivalent of $160. Please see manila.usembassy.gov/niv-application.html#1 for the different application fees per visa class and ways to pay them even when you are outside the Philippines.

Is there a chance for me to have an immigrant visa? How long will it take? And by the way I'm 20 years old turning 21 next January. Thank you Godspeed :)

We complete everything that is supposed to do. But my mother-in-law told us just she was just asked 2 questions, 1st why she wanna go to US and she said she wanna visit her daughter(my wife) and her grand daughter, 2nd if she had a parents her in US and she answered yes her mom is in texes but her daughter is in Oklahoma. After that the guy just give it to her a yellow paper i think and it says denied. The guy didn't even explain why?
I hve already passport and visa but im here in Riyadh saudi arabia? My bf he wants mw to go there.what i well need to processs or etc.. so that i cn go usa for 1week vacation trip?
Better to correct the mistakes before the interview date. Even forgot to put a middle name in the DS 160 and you have in your passpoort they will ask you to redo your DS 160. So do the correction before the day of the interview to avoid hassle. Just call the US embassy hotline and ask them you have some mistakes in your DS 160. They will give you instructions what to do.
Whats that? Around $32,000,000 US per year in fees? Easy to get interview, not so easy to get a visa. Long term employment with major manufacturer. Two young kids at home. All family nearby. Missed a couple days work, flights to Manila, hotels, $160 fee.... for a 30 second interview. Why are you traveling, where are you going, who is sponsoring your trip, what is your employment... denied. Basically same questions answered in the application for a 10 day visit. Nothing new or changed. No opportunity to provide documentation of ties to the community. No opportunity to prove all expenses paid including emergency funds. Just shut down real quick. So apply again? Sounds like insanity. What is really upsetting is having to jump through all the hoops only to be denied based on the same information that was in your application. I'm guessing you have to go to Manila to be denied even if disqualified based on your application? Apply again? Sounds like insanity.
