I haven't sprayed anything via a backpack sprayer but seeing this I think I will get me one and use it. I do have a small 2 gallon Ryobi sprayer that I use for weeds and pest control. Really love that there is some "clear iron" that isn't supposed to stain the sidewalk. I see in another comment that you say they changed the formulation but I think there may be a few others out there that may have the old formulation.
Yep. I still believe the hose-end sprayer has its time and place and is effective for certain applications such as humic acid and other products that need to get to the soil. But as far as iron, I'm sold on the backpack sprayer being the way to go moving forward.
With this particular product, no. However, I was in the Ewing store last week and noticed they changed the formulation. It is now derived from iron sulfate which I believe will stain concrete.
Hi Thomas. Good question... in this case I did not. I typically don't use a surfactant unless recommended or required by the label instructions. The particular product I use does not suggest using a surfactant.
Hi Wayne. Not directly after. I apply later in the day and run irrigation the next morning. I know you can water it in after an hour or so but I haven't experienced any issues waiting for the next day's irrigation cycle. I also try to target days with cooler evening temperatures.
@@BlackHoleDIY I've been using the simple solutions which comes with their own bottle and sprayer they say covers 3200 ft I've got abo 1800 ft i use the gal to refill
If you are going to use the sprayer you need to increase the amount because the sprayer is putting out more water you’re going to spend more money and product because of it but you can’t get the same results just cost you more
