Man you killing it 👏🏿. Not sure how true it is but I remember Allyn (DaNut) saying he doesn't like introducing soil to the lawn (I know you love topdressing). Mainly because you don't know what's in it like POA 💩 and other undesirables. You love aerating (Bringing up old 💩) as well which again adds to the maddness. I just hate POA💩.

😂😂😂 you know me too well my friend! Everytime I top soil i spray with tenacity not working but with this new stuff I hope it helps! I’ll be doing another sand level in the fall reno and after the first mow I’m laying down more prograss ec! We will see what happens! 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

I use Southern AG Chelated Iron. I just purchased and sprayed Lawn Star, Im not seeing anything but I did spray on the lighter side since I had never used the product, I may spray again a little heavier and see. Iron is Iron I guess and there really shouldn't be a difference, BUT with that being said, My lawn is not getting as dark as I would like, with THAT being said, Im still fighting a HIGH PH issue... Which I was also fighting last year, Im using Elemental Sulphur, anyways, I had a nice dark green lawn using Southern AG. We will see, if I go heavier on the Lawn Star, I will post a video! Thanks dude!

Great comparison. I recommend checking out the 12-0-0 liquid iron from site one. It's also 6% iron with a boost of nitrogen and manganese as well. Best part about it is that it's under $50 for TWO AND A HALF GALLONS. That's what u use. I'll make a video soon about my summer concoction soon

It always goes back to your seed cultivars, how dark things get is very subjective. I have used many types of iron but once I did my full renovations last year I’m seeing in big difference in ironite compared to other products. I been using Yard Mastery products and love that dark green I get now. I know you use Scott’s seed but if you wanna get that deep green pop you will need to go another direction in seed. Let me know I can recommend some great cultivars out there.

would you be able share seed info for turf type tall fescue as my area is experiencing (like other places) extreme heat and drought water restrictions. I'm in SF bay area zone 9

For sure! I’ve been looking at ntep for my area but they havnt updated rye since 2013 and the companies they list most of them don’t even make the seed anymore 😂😂😂 I’m leaning towards barenbrug RPR with all the recommendations but what do you have in mind I’m in Seattle 😊🙌🏾🤙🏾🙏🏾

@@cyberdog0802 When it comes to fescue there are so many options and with you being in zone 9 out west you can grow just about anything. I a big fan of Barenbrug fescue and GCI turf Fescue, with water restrictions you should live and die with Hydretain!!! Water is the most important element to having a great lawn no matter what cultivar you go with👍🏾 Hope that helps….

@@YardBrah My lawn is Rye(RPR/Stadium rye)/KGB(Blue Wave) it’s about a 80/20 mix. I purchased my Stadium rye here locally in Kansas City at Grass Pad, it gets much darker than the RPR. In this 90 degree weather I’m still mowing short and holding dark green🤙🏾

@@YardBrah i did RPR rye by barenbrug, it’s frustratingly lime green, it seems to take a long time to darken and has a propensity to be lime/lighter green, I watched vid about RPR being used on European golf courses, they all love it but one in particular stated that it was definitely a lighter grass.

I can't see any difference where the control block was. I don't think it made any improvement at all (it is as dark as it is going to get).

As a crazy person yes yes I do 😂 it’s actually small dose of liquid iron mixed in with my “mollycoddle” liquid mix 16-16-16 every two weeks and iron in between that. I focus on the liquid spoon feeding more the granulars are just a boost 😊🤙🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾

I’ve used the lawnstar…it seemed to be good stuff (highly bio available) my 4 gallon mix is the same kelp you usr (GS) 8 oz, their Humic (also has fulvic acid) 8 oz (supercharges the humic) and lawnstar iron 8 oz. I actually spray that all on 2000 sq ft plus about 8 rose bushes and some border monkey grass. I’d like something cheaper…may try your iron…will watch results with interest. 👍

Yes iron can def control most clover and broadleaf and moss, probably why I haven’t had to use any herbicide besides tenacity on the main lawn haven’t seen clover in the front in years! 😂😂😂🤙🏾

The only Ryan Knorr stuff I have bought so far has been seed and it came out really good. I'm finishing up my Yard Mastery products to try his stuff out. Even if it's a bit more expensive, out of all the RU-vid lawn OG's I've probably learned the most from Ryan so I feel like I need to pay it forward. At least that's the way I operate. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Lawn star sucks. I used way more than 2 ounces and my gras got just a shade darker if that. I’m letting a few more days pass to see if it kicks in overdrive or not
