A fundamental component of local authorities' approach to planning for flood risk in England is the application of the sequential test and, where necessary, the exception test. This webinar recording gives an overview of the sequential approach to planning for flood risk as set out in the NPPF and Planning Practice Guidance; and provides clarity about the sequential and exception tests and when they need to be applied.
This session was led by Sam Kipling, Flooding and Coastal Risk Management Senior Advisor at the Environment Agency, and chaired by TCPA Director of Policy, Hugh Ellis.
