The actress has no influence on game design. The issue is, nobody would hire someone like that unless they have similar views. Like if a dev hired that Nick Fuentez guy to voice a character are you gonna be like "This don't mean anything" or "This is a BIG red flag"? Hmm? Come on dude.

I agree. But as I said in the clip, years of this have made people hyper-aware of it to the point of writing off anything that even looks like it COULD have "woke" elements. You don't reach a point like that overnight. This is years of people trying to point this stuff out, trying to warn everyone that it was happening, being called every negative label in the book and even being gaslit into thinking they were crazy for noticing. Who are we to tell them that they shouldn't be fed up after all of that? For those people, it'll take more than simply telling them not to be like the other side. It's going to require proof and action, not just words.

It seems like a huge waste of time to complain about a game that might be woke, even though there is no information available about the game that even hints at that. The views of one VA involved with the game are irrelevant. The VA is not gonna write the story. People can still complain once there actually is something to complain about. Overreations to situations like this are the reason normies roll their eyes whenever "those people" complain about 'the message' being pushed in a piece of media, even if it actually is justified in that case. I am fed up with the messaging in a lot of media too, but becoming essentially the same as the crazed activists on the other side, who think everything is racist, bigoted and every other buzzword you can think of, should not be encouraged.

Looking at it from their perspective, and listening and talking to the people who are either on the fence or written it off, yes, it's justified. Simply telling them that they are overreacting or not to be like this, you may as well be telling them to "get over it". Do I think they should accuse EVERY game that looks woke as if it is? No. But also believe that attacking people that have completely checked out isn't helpful either. Gotta take a more nuanced approach to this. Only thing brilliant here is your complete misrepresentation of my take. Said nothing about wanting him to be the "chosen one" like you seem to imply. I said I felt he was a bit flat and two dimensional as a character. And that it almost seemed like someone else was meant to be in his shoes and not him.

@@DODIRTT It's not that I don't like Jin, I never said that. My problem was that I felt that he was a bit undercooked as a character. And I was hoping that they would take the chance to develop him more in a direct sequel, before completely throwing him out for a new character.

He essentially has to break the codes he believes in to save his people while in the process losing the only family he has left because of his choice to embrace the ghost and not the samurai. That's not bland. And tbh jins character was the universal criticism from fans which I don't understand but it is what it is. But did it ever occur to you that maybe that's the reason why they choose a different character? Why does it have to be about some woke agenda when you yourself said you didn't like him. You literally say in this video his character was the only issue you had with the game. Plus from watching the director and interviews about the game. They are not making the game about a character but the setting it's what Japan loved about the game. Because of the research they put into the game. I mean, BG3 is undeniably woke. Cyberpunk is a bit more arguable. Though CDPR has totally gone off the deep since then and all their future games are gonna be as woke as Dustborn. Cyberpunk had a literally transgender woman that was marries to a man, pretty woke if you ask me. My reaction was 'damn i can't kill the bitch cuz i wanna finish the quest' and i continued playing and finished the game. Now, you have AC shadows and GoY. Shadows is obvious woke due to 'diversity', putting a black man in steathy game in a japanese setting is damn stupid. GoY has a female samurai as protagonist, which news flash, there were a class of samurai women called onna-bugeisha in 1600, like exactly when GoY is taking place.
