Myles Goodwyn passed away today. Dec 3rd, 2023. He was 75. For people like myself, a big loss. Jimmy Clench and Steve Lang are also passed. Jerry has retired. Only Brian Greenway continues now as a long standing member (1977). This video is a Gem for fans. Thank you.
Myles Goodwyn has an instantly recognizable voice. Great concert. I was fortunate enough to attend and enjoy many April Wine Concerts during these years. I still do. Myles has recently retired, allowing Brian to take center stage. I find the April Wine of 2023, with Myles behind the scenes and Brian front n center rocks just fine thank you very much.
Cool...Seen April Wine a half dozen times thru the years... including the mid 90's @ Trudeau Park, Tweed Ont. Myles Goodwin RIP Dec.3/2023 "Voice of April Wine" ❤🎸🎤🎶🎶🎶
A big thanks Shadow Man,having been a fan of A.W since 1972 and seeing the band live several times, this show really stands out,Myles was into it and was joking with the crowd,Brian sounded great, and cant remember seeing Jimmy Clench move around stage as much as he did here, and of course Mr.J.Mercer giving no less than his all........this is the April Wine at its best!!
Shadow Man : Thanks for posting this concert of April Wine way back in 1997 ! I seen them play that summer in Ontario , always good to remember seeing an excellent concert with April Wine !!!!!

@@whiteninja9481 I thought he was pretty good. Hard to compare though with their different playing styles... But, yes, Mr. Lang (RIP) was indeed a great bassist.
@@whiteninja9481 that's very disappointing. Good on the others for not letting that bother them. I'm sure they noticed, and probably knew why he was off that night.
16 studio albums. Great musicians. Always have been, still are. Jimmy Clench is no longer with us as is Steve Lang. Jerry Mercer's retired from the band n Myles Goodwyn is also soon to retire from touring.
I know! Joking long it had been since their concert there. 2020 seemed so far away at the time Lol Fast forward to 2021, and I’m hoping and praying at some point they’ll tour on the States again.
One of the greatest live bands ever~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 38 Special, sit down and learn how to make 3 guitars work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol
nice footage. but i think your year is a bit off. that's me and mookie wilson with the intro and i left brockville in 1996. Riverfest 1996 i know there was blue rodeo on stage but i can't remember who else. 95 maybe?
April Wine A+++++++++++++++ 38 Special F------------------------ Facts, got it? Did you know that one bending note from Gilmoure was more music than the entire catalog from 38 Special? Probably not, it was my own personal joke, but it is factual.
