Truer words have never been spoken. I had the pleasure of riding with one of these last weekend, my friend and riding partner was considering buying a 2018 Tuono V4 1100 Factory from someone he knows so he got tossed the keys for the weekend. Even has the same exhaust as the one in this video. We spent about 5 hours and 250 miles in the mountains. I ride a 2022 BMW S1000R M-Package, not a slow bike by any means, and the Aprilia made my bike seem like I was riding around on a Honda Grom.

Aprilia makes the best sounding bikes on earth. Period. Even the 660's sound amazing with an aftermarket pipe on them.

A friend let me ride his once and I had wide open run to go wild on. The sound this thing produces is pure symphony. I currently run an xsr900 but still think these V4 motors are best in class.

I have 2013 tuono v4r and converted it to rsv4 fairing and handle and been riding it till now. Still in love with it

I really like my SC project exhaust on my 2019 Tuono. What sucks is, the extreme oil consumption on that bike, Half a quart every 800 miles!

Does your left shoe get oil on it after a ride?

@@Mystic-Herbalist420 no not yet. The engine is burning all that oil. It should start oil leaks anytime though according to other riders and the dealership. I don’t know what’s wrong with this engine, whether it’s bad oil rings or they forgot to hone the cylinders or what. Off to a rocky start that’s for sure. 4,500 miles on this bike.

@@deankruse4491 yeah I have a 2020 factory with 5k miles and noticing all my left shoes are dirtier, seems to be the oil pan, and my warranty just expired the beginning of this month 😆

@@Mystic-Herbalist420 yeah, that sucks. Mine expired about two months before I realized I had an oil burning issue. I love my bike but I don’t really trust it much anymore. I spoke to an independent Aprilia mechanic with an outstanding reputation and he told me it would probably cost around $3500 to fix my oil burning issues. Then I would only have the oil leaks to look forward too lol.

You may be experiencing leaks that come from the spark plug O-ring that seems to be a very common problem with these V fours. If that’s the case, it’s my understanding that the repair is not very expensive.
