Looks like another winner from Aprillia, I can't wait to test ride one. I test rode the Ducati Diavel last weekend and it was surprisingly good, darn bike is a riot and handles MUCH better than you think it would.
I just ordered mine. One thing that swayed me away from the ducati was watching you power out of corners at the track in this video. Traction control seems quiet impressive.
Question: At the 7 minute mark the technician is going over the traction control settings. Those forks are Öhlins forks, not the stock Sachs one. You can tell by the blue anodized preload adjuster. Also the levers are CRG and the mirrors are not stock either. But on your on board shots it's the stock Sachs fork. Did you have a chance to try the Öhlins setup?
thanks for making this video. you're a star. this bike is the bike of my dreams - will buy it the day it comes out. I was debating between this and a bmw hp2 sport for track days - but with the power settings on this V4 i feel i can work my way into it, and then have more if i want it later. It's monstrous.
@raptorama Looking to replace an aging TL1000S, so not really after a tourer. Just something a bit less cramped than an RSV4! Glad the Tuono review didn't turn into a crash video (and that it wasn't something dodgy with the traction control)!
Im actually trying to decide in between a s1000rr and the tuono. Im coming off of a 07 r6 and am having trouble chosing one. May come down to a coin flip. Any imput seeing as youve had both?
