I am self taught with sewing and can make some simple aprons, blankets etc . I have just started to watch RU-vid videos to improve on my skills. I have learned so much from this video, thank you for posting. I’m working on some holiday aprons to give as gifts, this will make them look nicer and i believe make them much easier to sew. Awesome video !!!
Thank you for sharing, the apron turned out very smart. Love aprons, should have one for each day of the week, and I love your suggestion of making an apron for the garden! Kind regards
YAY! I love these quick makes. Instant gratification and makes my confidence grow as I learn. Love aprons!!! I also realized why I wasn't successful before and never completed anything. I am not good at following traditional patterns but your method of pattern drafting truly works for me.
Yolanda, super happy that it works for you! I feel that a lot of traditional patterns present sewing as if that is some sort secret, only available to the few, but in reality - we can all sew, we can all sew beautifully!
I actually made this pattern myself, it was easy to understand and make, in the end I was actually happy with how simple it was and how it came out!! Thank you for this, this was my first real project on my own and I'm glad I chose this one 😁😁😁
"Mommy and me" aprons might be a cute way to market sets for sale. I love the pretty fabric you used, a pretty apron makes cooking and washing up a little nicer.
Hi Alisa!! I got multiple aprons & one is for the sewing room.. I enjoy wearing them & making them for family members & friends.. Absolutely love the fabric you used for yours.... 💜💜💜🧵🧵🧵
Yes, go for it :) you saw my daughter in the picture, she is 2. And the apron pretty much covers her, for your son you might want to just add and extra 1" or 2" at all sides, so that you get more wear out of it for him! Have fun sewing!
My pleasure, you will love seeing the smile on your son's face! My little one says: "clean, clean!" and she runs to get her apron, so she can help me out! It is priceless!
You make that so easy! I also did a tutorial with the adjustable straps. I love that lavender floral and I really want one of those bias tape makers. I think it’s time I buy one!
I'm in the process of making aprons for Christmas stocking suffers. My littles will have full sized aprons with false hems and in lieu of pockets I appliqued a bunny on the bib.

Leslie, my grandmother put an apron on every day, and always had a handkerchief in the pocket. It didnt come off until end of the day, or ifshe went to town or church. She had different kinds, but preferred a simple tie at the waist, with 2 pockets. She made them all herself.
Nice project, thank you. I think I'm going to use straight fabric strips for the ties, because I dont want the stretch and also it will be fabric saving to cut them down the edge. I will do the curve with bias strips, though. Thank you again!
I love this tutorial, I made my very first apron for a sweet friend recently following this video! Do you have any tutorials for making a simple table cloth or runner and pillow? I am subscribed 😁
Hannah, hello there and thank you for joining! Table cloth or runner is just a simple rectangle, square or circle that has been hemmed with single or double fold hem, I have a tutorial on the channel how to do simple hems - that will help you. The first tutorial in this video is about making a pillow - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ISWTChXyhSM.html
I don't want to pick it apart, but I would make one long pocket and double stich the middle for a writing tool and a thermometer. And your baby looked great in her new apron.
I looked up so many easy diy videos and they weren’t early. This was my favorite it was cute and love you how simple you made it to follow the instructions for any beginner such as myself. what size tape maker did you use?
You don’t show how much fabric it takes to make actual bias cut straps. That must change the yardage requirements for the apron. Please advise. Thank you.
All measurements are given. If they are too small - pause the screen and enlarge the percentage of your browser. If you can't do that - then pause the screen, take a screenshot and enlarge it on your phone. I do that all the time with different things when I browse internet.
