Watched it last night and thought it was one of the best interviews from any Aptera member since a very long time. Fact based, not marketing hyped, thoughtful and showing self-reflection about great decisions and not so great decisions. Gave me a boost in confidence that the Aptera Motors leadership is fully competent to get the vehicle to production and make Aptera a great company (also share price). Now Aptera needs to work on the international rollout plan and especially homologation (Europe!) and I need to work on my patience. ;-)

4 to 6 weeks. That's shitty. I definitely thought they were a lot closer to signing a deal(s). I'm not surprised delays are happening its what I expected. I'm still hoping they can start delivering the Aptera before the end of 2026. Until that money is in the bank for Aptera the future is uncertain. In the meantime let's get those PI models built and on the road to showcase to potential inventors. They really need that money in order to move forward into production. The PI models could be the major selling point when it comes to getting that investor money. They don't just need to be built but they need to be well built and a good safe car.

IOW agree 💯 Same rationale given for post-production IPO, get 6-10 PI builds for controlled testing and a dozen for field testing/feedback & PR… appearance at auto events lg+sm; far+wide (US northeast not mentioned but the HIGHEST concentration of preorders-6/7/2024 webinar).

I've been waiting for a car that focused on efficiency/style for 57 years. I fell in love with Lotus designs in the '60s. I drove a car based on the that drag design from '67-'77, getting 46 mpg.It was beautiful, efficient, small enough to park in half a space. BUT, I had to learn how to fix it because it was mechanical mess and all the shops were filled with ignorant or inept mechanics. They would fix one problem, and create 2-3 more. I deduced that an EV would be more efficient by 1980. Therefore I recognized the value of Aptera at the outset, over a decade ago. I canceled by Tesla order in 2019 when I saw Aptera was back in business, with the original founders. I have 3 on order.

I'd rather see none of the above but as long as they stay out of day to day operations it might be OK. I doubt Elon would invest in Aptera because Tesla might lose a few customers if Aptera is successful.

I agree that I don’t think Elon should be a part of this although not for the same reasons but Apple definitely not. They are one of the most untrustworthy, corrupt companies out there right next to Google and I would be beyond disappointed if they had any hand in what Aptera does.

Blake mentions a "soft launch" starting the next week, "with a harder, more comprehensive launch will happen mid-july". Meaning US Capital has different levels of investors, some needing more information on Aptera while others are already up to speed and open for business.

Like production, it will take longer than expected. The money isn't locked in. They just think that US Capitol has contracts to make it happen. Chris and Steve have spent over two years trying to make those contracts.

99% correct, trying with OTHER venture capital entities. It seems almost certain US-C is on-board enough to solicit support from their client investors and failing that loan able (& willing given IP valuation) to loan needed funds for production. Regardless… terms???

Severing relations with SunPower put them in financial bind, whether blind-sided or inept mgt. dunno… likely some of each. Regardless just announced 40% reduced revenue, liquidity issues (and shareholder lawsuit) all leading to Chinese company as minority shareholder gaining controlling interest. Guessing not bankruptcy but not good IMO as, despite price reductions generally, Maxeon’s premium prices may have upwards pressure… depends on new controlling interests.

So far Aptera is making all the best tweeks. It sounds like some loans , have gone through channels, future investors will speed everything up. Wow slowly but surely. I say a garintee 6000 a year Kickstart fase will get the ball rolling.

We can learn from the larger heavier vehicles that requires high capacity high voltage high power output charging stations and load grid demands: There is limited demand for the heavier short range vehicles.

"Does anyone know how this fund raising work?" We just don't know yet and they aren't saying yet. There are various methods and types of fund raising. They tend to fall into two basic categories, equity financing (stocks) and debt financing (bonds). They are just not ready or able to say which type US Capital is offering. When they mention "bankers," they could be referring to the typical bankers that we tend to think about when we hear the term "banker.' They lend money (loans, bonds, debts). But they could also be talking about "investment bankers" who help companies find equity (stock) investors when the company wants to "go public." (Examples of big investment bankers are Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.)

They said long term Elaphe is going to be on the Aptera, so there must be an issue with getting them ready for the launch. That makes me think that some time soon the LE will be changing to FWD, or that they will ship that way and some time in the future the rear motor wheel would be retrofitted. I tend to think it would be the first since retrofit would be expensive

When Chris Anthony said there is 10 wires looking at the control board of the air exchanger, my heart sank because I knew he was lying. It was obvious to anybody that watch that clip that that control board has more than 10 wires. This little episode reveals a lot about CA characters and it is not good for investors.

So much uncertainty about funding. Everything depends on successful and TIMELY funding. Nothing here gives me a good feeling about successful fundraising that will support the published, aggressive, schedule for production of any configuration. No detail that would imply the tasks and timing are more that hand waving as usual. Money has to come from somewhere to pay for the extra work associated with the reengineering of the drivetrain that apparently has been going on for some time behind closed doors.

@@GullWingInnMoclips But there are people here proclaiming Aptera is an open productive company. I know enough about solar from years of experience that a lot of what they say isn't true. Others know enough about vehicle wiring to identify more bad info. They have never demoed miles/kWh in real world use, nor kWh/day. They sell stock with no equity. Most of the employees have no vehicle development ability. They have lied about every delivery promise. They lied about forgetting to hook up a cooling line. Now they are cancelling flagship features of belly cooling, in hub motors, and probably AWD. Next you're likely to see the relationship with Capital Growth won't accomplish much. The owners won't take responsibility for much of a loan. Investors won't back non demonstrated claims. Aptera EV is some 5yrs old and has never demonstrated 1 marketing claim. Capable guys build a trike in their garage in 6 months and demo every detail when they finish. Millions of views. Aptera claims 40K orders (for trike they have already canceled) and get 5K views for monthly update.

I am fairly certain that the group in Abu Dhabi is just one part of Investors in US Capital. They are probably required by the agreement to pitch the idea to other equity investors both individual or institutional.

Elon Musk's adopting Aptera as an outlet for his motors is highly likely. Elaphe's wheel motors may cost too much, plus they're not as readily available and have no track record for rock-solid reliability as Tesla motors have, plus a domestic drive train would encourage more federal dollars to flow in. Add a few Tesla suspension/frontend parts and get rid of that unsprung wheel weight and the worries about changing a tire, too. Aptera's not using a frunk, so there's plenty of room for a motor in there. Tesla's motors may need a higher volume for economies of scale. With more cars using Tesla drivetrains, those motors will cost even less to build. Musk buying Aptera or buying into Aptera is such an obvious opportunity, plus involvement with Tesla will give Musk the robotaxi vehicle he wants to build anyway. Musk has the 30-60-90-180 people it will take to build Apteras, and just use the Aptera headquarters as a warehouse or for solar panel manufacturing. Musk could scale up production quickly as well, buying duplicate molding presses and equipment. It could all be ready now given how long they've had to work on this. Making these adjustments could also account for all this inactivity at Aptera while they wait for Tesla to fix all the issues. An Aptera-designed sunroof would have a solar photovoltaic panel that would make a great option on Tesla's other cars, too. A retrofit kit might be feasible. Just stick on the solar. A little transparent glue, a jig, and a solar electric tie-in could work. Aptera tearing up a few Teslas to check would be worth it as well.

@@gmv0553 Lucid is excellent in battery technology, among the best if not the best. Its motor might be more advanced and efficient than Tesla's as well. However, Tesla's likely to be a lot cheaper and a lot less likely to slip beneath the waves as a company since Lucid depends heavily on young Prince Salman of Saudi Arabian fame. (That prince is supposedly sending a big opaque balloon into geosynchronous orbit over Mecca just to give shade to overheated fainting pilgrims, taking no profit from that enterprise either. I mean, it's a wonderful thing to do, but there is no profit to be made in the endeavor.) Given their problematic though superb luxury car production, Lucid is also more likely to be focused on corporate survival and less likely to have time & funds that they could ethically reassign to Aptera. Their dealership network is necessarily sparse and would be of little use to Aptera. However, if the pinnacle of electric automotive excellence, Lucid, were to bless Aptera with their attention, Aptera would certainly be illuminated. Everyone loves Aptera, but that company is primarily about efficiency, not opulence, and high-tech luxury like Lucid Motors.

Who is or was worried about changing a tire on an Aptera? It matters not whether the motor is in-wheel or in-board, changing a tire is basic jack it up and remove it, then replace.... not a problem... but it is a nice opportunity for concern trolls!

chris a. is listed as CFO and as a director they have not updated that with an SEC filing so it may no longer be a director level job. there have been zero atvm loans to produce vehicles for over a decade, all atvm loan in the years following have been for technologies to support manufacture of evs in the us which means they are funding battery facilities and similar. 6000 year claim is just not true. do the math. 500 units a month and it takes them over 2m and near 3m just to run an empty building with a skeleton crew. just for that requires 6k profit per vehicle and you think they can run a manufacturing line, manage inventory, and deliver vehicles, for just double that if not less than triple their current burn rates? its just math people. i had to laugh at chris's sarbanes oxley comment as Aptera explicitly states they will not be subject to those accounting rules. in fact they go out of their way to make all sorts of statements on what they don't have to tell investors. For those who don't follow this type of stuff, you can hide under the emerging companies rule while having revenues less than a billion dollars. again chris is just saying nothing because he knows sox does not apply to them but it sounds good.

US Capital Group is 'turned on' as of now. So seeing what they raise early on 'in 4-6 weeks' works out to early to mid-August, NOT to sometime in September as you stated. Sometimes with your speculation and surmising from management's statements, you appear to sound more like a critic than an advocate. it's OK to say: "I don't know." much better than to say: "I would guess from that....".

Good that it was clarified Capital Growth needs to campaign for success instead of simply giving money to Aptera. Tough timing with recent failure of belly skin cooling, no in wheel motors, probably no AWD, still undemonstrated miles/kWh, kWh/day, battery capacity, price update.

@@barnabasseadog7660 I didn't assume anything. There were fanboys that thought a loan was scheduled for the beginning of July. Many investors and deposit holders are disappointed by the new design. It will reduce demand. All of that at onset of Capital Global is counterproductive.

Belly skin cooling has *not* failed. The issue at this point is getting into production as quickly as possible with as little additional capital expenditure as can be managed. Both cooling and drivetrain will continue to evolve past the LE versions to be more like what was originally planned.

​@@n.brucenelson5920 Producing what? Aptera took orders for in wheel motors and AWD. They marketed that with 400 mile range and 700W of solar while collecting $100 million of donations. I will be shocked if Capital Global delivers any meaningful amount of funding after this disappointment.
