I wonder if Aptera missed the short EV craze? Will there be a market if they make it to production within the next couple of years? US & European auto makers have cancelled many EV programs firing large numbers of EV staff and scaling back to hybrids. Majority of EV fans already bought one and many are already selling, at high and increasing losses. Interest rates rose, dealers refusing them for trade-ins (too high risk), long quick charger lines on weekends and holidays, no charging for people in apartments, people getting devastated by out of warranty battery failures, fire crews discovering how dangerous and difficult they are to extinguish, failed EV company's cars unrepairable (no software fixes; Fisker, now Lucid, next up Rivian), EV's have burned houses down, are being banned from some parking structures because when they (rarely) burn structural damage is devastating, can't or don't have time to charge during crises, minor accidents totaling them out, insurance skyrocketing, and now average car shoppers strongly turning up their noses at EV's. Aptera's future cannot be described more clearly than that.

Aptera needs to stop fluffing around a start manufacturing as the chinese can design a vehicle a start manufacturing in less the half the time what Aptera has taken.

Why not combine Aptera with the FSD from tesla to have the cheapest and most efficient robo-aptera-taxi?

They have the windows open because that one doesn't have AC. I don't believe they stayed cool in it. When they put in AC, how much of that solar power will it be using up?

100°F or 37,78°C is optimal for a car battery. So it's no doubt that it was NO chance of overheating.

The Aptera drove with 60 km/h over the racetrack. Impressive. And no risk of overheating the drivetrain.

I was there in January for a Creventic race. Even the drivers we had running an Audi R8 LMS EVO (which has air conditioning) the drivers needed a rest after a stint. Seeing Steve driving that around and not breaking a sweat, tells me that the Aptera is on the level of FIA GT3 cars. Those make Italian Supercars look slow. So that CPC tub is doing its job there.

Instead of saying "tons of laps" it would be nice to know how many laps the gamma trike did and at what speed.

So what was the lap time

It's an intelligent use of technology , especially being both light weight and aerodynamic , regardless of power plant .Many commuters do not need large hauling capacity most of the time .

Geeze, how much money is Aptera going to take from "investors" before they make a car? This has been going on for a decade. Rivian's share price is the same as Aptera's but Rivian has made 100,000 vehicles. Aptera hasn't made one. Beware.
