Edit: The 16th place prize is the 2nd biggest prize after the 1st place prize, since Shibuya Hal's favorite number is 16. If Aqua's taking it slowly with streaming, I still want to clip some stuff during the scrims since there are a lot of other pov that I didn't watch yet.
@@theroosterpl7888 Each winning member gets a copy of the prize, so they don't split it 1: PC with RTX3090, monitor, and trophy 2: Herman Miller and monitor 3: PS5 tote bag, RGB keyboard, gaming mouse, mousepad, and headset StartEnd got 16th, which is a special prize of another RTX3090 PC for each memebr
Doesn't need to be Apex; having them building something on MC, singing songs, maybe even Mario Kart's race would be nice. Their compatibility just works wonders.
I'm glad she was able to take something positive from this and not just see it as a loss. And what she said is true. She's never really been a team player, even here she struggled a bit, but they stuck together until the end, and they made some memorable moments together. They have a nice vibe together, like a natural friendship, and we might never have discovered this dynamic if they never entered the tournament together. It was a great experience in my opinion
In my opinion, the team could have performed a bit better if they chose to support aqua play since she is the main if not the only real point earner for the team. When she's downed, that means gg. That aside a team without coach to plan around and with 2 not so good 1v1 shooter they have tried their best
yep and the fact that she approached them first which is a big deal for our introverted onion. She's slowly growing and I couldnt be any happier that she is improving and learning. Go Aqua!
- Thinking back of the excitement of the announcement of this trio as a team - All the team name shenanigans - The overcook team building, and apex training arc - the hilarious mid lobby discussions - the wholesomeness between those three - that amazing cover 👾⚓☄ - the progress they all made, to give their best at the final day Time passed really quickly but I can assure you that it was a blast all along, we felt the pain, share a bit of the pressure, laugh with them and were cheering along their acheivements ! What a journey, thank you StartEnd
It was unironically about the friends they made along the way. The three of them have fantastic chemistry and would love to see them collab as a unit elsewhere. Also AquSui couple channel doko?
“Your hard work may not always be rewarded, but it will become your strength” I was reminded of Watame’s quote by a fellow Redditor yesterday, it fits so well. They didn’t get a good result in the tournament, but everything they did working for towards it, all the training, all the scrims, their team bonding in Overcooked 2, they’ve made all these great and fun memories together as a team. It’s been a truly incredible ride that we as fans got to witness, and we even got an epic cover of “Asu no Yozora Shoukaihan”! I hope that this isn’t the end Startend, and that they’ll do fun collabs in the future in whatever game they like. On an unrelated note, the tournament also gave rise to Mad Maggie drill trauma lmao.
This clip reminds me of something rpr said. "They're not just APEX competitors. They're idols," or something like that. StartEnd is an APEX team, but by definition, it is also an idol group. They can do anything they want together, both in and out of APEX, and absolutely everyone will rejoice.
Glad to see her satisfied with her tournament experience It's not the best result but hey there are 19 other teams beside StartEnd Also hope communities be chill about this
I doubt she really is satisfied. Thats just lip service. Aqua is super competitive. She wouldnt be crying if she was satisfied with the results. They tried their best but it just didnt work out. Its okay to not be okay they will learn from this and thats what matters
@@venkaramon i know how competitive Aqua can get, that's why i wrote Tournament Experience their performance and final result is a different source of frustration and its not something us fans should delve any deeper unless Aqua herself say so she capped everything off with a tweet saying she had fun and let's just respect that
It was very fun watching StartEnd! Although expectations were high due to Towa and Aqua's achievements in Apex (Aqua solo to masters and Towa being a tournament winner for CANDYPOP) Suisei impressed everybody with her ability to never fall too much behind. The scrims were definitely amazing as well, winning two back to back was definitely thrilling and a joy to watch seeing them make so much progress. I definitely like seeing them compete in events and i hope this is not the end of StartEnd.
I’m glad startend existed, it was nice having something to look forward to everyday for the past couple of weeks. I also learned a lot of other VTubers outside of Holo through this experience. Been watching Aqua and her Apex runs for 2+ years now when she used to only aim for soloDia (those painful 16h+ streams to go up from Plat 1 to D4 when it only takes her less than 2 hours now lol) so this was a treat + it’s with Suisei/Towa.
We had possibly one of the greatest Hololive arcs ever. The first collab to getting a few wins in the practice, the cover, and then the unfortunate loss at the end. They stuck together and held their heads high too the finish and are happy with the results. I can’t wait to see if they do another Startend collab someday.
Its an honor to witnesses these three's journey into this tournament. They have made and amazing (and terrifying) reputation among the other participants. For first-timers like Aqua and Suisei, this will be an unforgettable experience. May StartEnd return in some form someday.
With this, the tournament arc came to a close. It was a really big personal development for each of the STARTEND players. Towa with her massive improvement as a leader. Suisei showing what a true Jack of All Trade are capable of with her massive improvement in Apex in such a very short time once she put her attention into the game. And especially Aqua who's all this time have been soloing finally having worked with a team towards a single goal. It really takes me back to Moon Rabbit Minecraft arc where Pekora and Moona had their personal development. Really love these moments. It's been a wild month. Thank you very much for all your hard works clipping their shenanigans, epic clutches and their funny and serious talks. Keep up the good works.
Startend is the best thing to happen this year. I really hope we see more of the three of them doing stuff together, even if its singing together or just hanging out. They seem like good friends and I hope the bond they formed over the tournament continues to grow
I don't care about their placement in the tournament, they prove themselves worthy (atleast in the scrims) and they have fun, that's enough. I hope they continue as unit because they're litearally the jp members i look forward the most and they chemistry is so good. Also didn't expect Sui cry.
It was a great experience not just for them but for the viewers as well. Definitely took me for a ride and looking forward to future collabs like ths one
We had the population of a small country watching her stream at some point, so I guess it's fair to say we as viewers also enjoyed it. More StartEnd music would obviously be nice, but even if they find time to do Apex more casually together I wouldn't mind. Or anything in general. They work so great together, there is nothing they can't do.
Now i remember when suisei cried in frustration when she lost on the mario kart tournament. But still we know that you will come back stronger. What is important is that you had fun during this past weeks
There were so many great memories. And Aqua got to work as part of a team, which was something she was afraid of doing before. And it turned out pretty good! They even did a cover song! You're growing every day!
I don't even care they win or lose.. i enjoyed their performances overall.. towa with the best call out.. aqua with the mad dog skills and suisei sudden clutch moments.. looking forward for another apex highlights from startend
The pressure was real towards the end. I can imagine its dissapointing a bit but its important that you had fun and especially that you opened up more towards others. I can remember the clip where aqua talked about a tournament back then that she wont enter because she had no one to play with. Im happy that she had 2 amazing teammates to hold her back till the end.
Im actually looking forward for more with StartEnd, not just as an Apex Team, and I love how Aqua and Towa are playing songs in the background XD. and the 16th prize reminds me of SMT and it Happened again in STA, XDD
I am just happy that at least from this tournament, everyone is aware of Aqua. I think Aqua, Suisei, and Astel's Mad Maggie are highlights of all those customs, scrims, and tournament become so much fun. VSaikyo 4 will be remembered for long. Thank you for the precious memories. Maybe some of other vtubers will finally DM Aqua for APEX collab in the future. No way they will let the opportunities gone.
i really hope StartEnd will come back from time to time. they really made a good comedic and Idol activity together. even visually(costume) already like a matching set. Also Towa-Sama(Purple hair) Suichan (Blue hair) and Aqutan with both hair color.
They worked pretty well as a teamwork, Aqua got out of her comfort zone by forming a team, Towa's being a great leader, Suisei improves in apex in a short amount of time. Also the cover song! Yes, another proof implied Startend strong bond ^^ on top of that, so lucky to get the high spec PC as a prize for each member thanks to Shibuya Hal fave number #16. This is not the end but a new beginning!
Kinda happy they still get favorite number prize, even though they didn't get the best score They even got the chance being interviewed since this is their last appearance in tournament this sure give Aqua and Startend great memory and achievement in their vtuber career
StartEnd has become StarTrend along the way. This time, there is no cry. Frustration is natural. But, she gains a lot of positive from this to not cry. This is quite development.
watching startend streams was amazing! it would be cool if they keep at it... whatever it is they decide to do! it would also be cool if aqua played elden ring now!
Startend did well as a team They have played, hang out, and grown together and I am very happy to be able to see that. It's sad that we are not able to see them win and I feel like it's very frustrating on their side as well But in the end they all had fun, they even released a cover together and other stuff. I hope there will be more Startend in the future. I'm not expecting much considering how cramped their schedules are but I sure do hope that it will arrive. Thank you Startend! You guys did well! Startend forever!
I'm sure every fan would love them to play apex as a team for a year, and bring the synergy to the level where they win the tourney next year! But knowing their super packed and busy schedule, its just impossible! Thanks for the amazing experience, StartEnd!
I was salivating looking at that PC, i really like Shibuya Hal for doing something so silly like giving a beef PC as the prise for 16th place lol. The thing i hope for the most is a Startend original, that would be really great.
the last day of tournament are the most hectic day, because it's the time to accumulate final points to solidify the winner points. and it's also the day that all participants fired up even more. for the first timer team like Startend it's just too HOT for them to compete. so it's no wonder that it's easy to got into an accident or slip into a wrong decisions (except if you are regulars) BUT! no matter what the results is, at least they have fun & have good memory together (tho lil bit frustrated 😂) Glad Aqua able to planted her strong presence and lil bit "terror" (devotion terror) 😂 in the heart of other tourney participants and coaches.
Well, I suspect Suisei said this would be her first and last tourney because of time concerns on her music end, what with being part of Midnight Grand Orchestra now. Towa and Aqua may have similar things in their future plans, or maybe they're just ready for a different game for a while. Glad we got this tourney appearance though, I certainly got my money's worth in entertainment!
If this is where Aqua's Tourney career ends, then im just happy she did one. It would be super cool to see her play in CR cup or something, where she can be paired up with a pro that could push her and help her. But that would probably be a bit too much for her. Either way, im just glad she seems happy about the experience.
@@domi8499 i mean ya for sure. If she could get paired with like Towa and Selly, or someone that Towa already has a solid relationship with, that would be the only way I could see it happening. Still extremely unlikely, but it would be cool to see her learn directly from one of the best. It might take some pressure off her too to be the "carry" on the team. But ya, super low chance of it happening.
@@domi8499 The mot likely people outside of Hololive she could play with are friends in Nijisanji (and if we include Towa *maybe* some of the VSpo members), but yeah probably not with pred or pro players
Well its her first tournament so it shouldn't be expected she'd place high. I really hope she will do more in the future as well. Take this as good experience. Also, damn that's a pretty good prize for placing 16th. Could be sold for profit at $5,000 plus lol.
The 16th prize also have another meaning of the tournament, not to take things too seriously. The intention of ShibuyaHAL is shown clearly from his willingness to place a good prize at this standing
@@creec.winceptor actually 15th not have any prize, only for 1st-5th/6th (if im not wrong) and special prize for 16th. i think 16th place even get most luxury prize after 1st place. You can see the prizes list at start of main tournament stream before first match begin in ShibuyaHal youtube channel
Tbh i think Aqua was really nervous and stress during the main event itself, lots of hastily play. Towa has let her emotional out the day before and is playing really well & composure. All in end, it was definitely a good experience for Aqua and new to Suisei. Hope to see both of them in Apex tournament again someday !
I'll say it once, There were some dumb antis celebrating their placements, There was nothing to be ashamed of. From the scrimmages alone, Startend showed their abilitiy as well as every other team, It was really a close and balanced tournament. Its not an excuse but they did get super unlucky most of the time, Zone was almost never near their position and they ran into Met's team like 4 times which is why that team also struggled. There were many great teams that had similar results too, Hayun, Axia, Matsuri, Chii-chan, Kanae, Hinano are all master level players and they all finished around the same. I can say the coaching really would have been helpful, of course in the end it comes down to the players but I feel like Startend really needed that calming advice and to pick their spots and rotations better, The teams that succeeded often were already in position and all setup. That is just experience difference, but even seasoned players, it wasn't their day, Don't worry about it too much! Anyways I was happy just to see Aqua and Suisei participate, I hope this won't be their last times, Its really too much fun together with everyone
A unit that made for Apex at first, and purposing to disband after the tournament now ready to be a powerhouse again! I've seen a logo design for StartEnd; its meaning is "The start of the end is also the end of the start". Quite fit right now.
Just like what the comments said. It was actually about the friends they made along the way, and that's already a Win, especially for Aqua. I would love to see more of them together. Maybe on mario kart? 👀
So glad that StartEnd isn't finished for good!! I was prepared to call out a new name _EndStart!_ to compel the Towa, Susei, Aqua unit be back. Guess my worries are unneeded. XD
I do hope she does some casual apex collab with other members too, like matsuri. Startend tried their best, despite the obvious personality clashes, but that's what teamwork is about.
This is what im saying before, that the scrims dont actually reflect final results.....Startend definitely strong but this is jus their first ...experience played its part.
Looking at the competition, it was unfortunately really hard for Startend to get anywhere near top 5. You have multi Preds, people with experience in previous tournaments all over and Gorilla-san. But whether they win or not, the true victory is getting Aqua out of her comfort zone and play with more people. And they succeeded alright. WP Startend! Looking forward to seeing more collabs~
There is only 1 pred in the tourney and it's Vgori lol. He's not even pred for a long time now. Most of the competitors are either Diamond or Master. There is quite a number of tourney veteran though
Towa get the 2nd PC from V-saikyou XD That aside, I hope this gives an Aqua experience and maybe, there's a chance she will join another tournament? idk I really like her competitive side tbh. Well if this is her last tournament it's fine too, as long as she's happy it's good to know.
they probably wont be able to join vsaikyo again as startend anyways cuz theyre points would be too high so as long as they still do things together ill be happy
I think they will be motivated to join for another tourney if they will have some sort of a rival team from holo. Or atleast a training partner team of sorts. Ehem, Botan, ehem. Plus I think Aqua will be better as the leader of the team because Towa is more flexible in leading/following.
Has Towa talked about her motivation for future tourneys? Its all fun for Aqua and Suisei since theyre done, but i hope Towa didnt lose motivation with that bad tournament.
I kinda disagree. Aqua is great and has reached Solo Master, but Towa has played in 9 tournaments now and even won one of them (she has wanted to participate in Apex tournaments since debut if I remember correct). People have even complained that Towa plays too much Apex/FPS so I think Apex is a pretty big part of Towa's identity. She (& Matsuri) was even a guest host for ALGS Apec North in May last year.
Don't be fooled This was just a big brain idea for them to get the 16th place prize They meticulously calculated the amount of kills and their placement for this Maybe
Apex era is over... I hope StarEnd & Astel jump to other game like valorant or overwatch 2(in future). I especially hope they play overwatch 2 so they can play with Botan & holoEN.
Astel and Izuru has been coached by Leia in Valo since the begining of this month. He temporary paused the coaching to focus on Vsaikyou and will get back to Valo after this. Their goal is to reach Diamond in Valo, which is kind high given their current skill and time
Didn't she say she won't participate in tournaments? And the only reason she joined Towa, Bora & Cpt for the Battlefield one was because it was super casual with no scrims and such? Honestly doubt it's ever gonna happen.
I would like to see even just as a coach. It doesnt even have to be real coaching, just having someone else not playing could provide some inputs that players dont see when they are too focused on the game
Suichan said she was super busy with projects. Towa could've gone with ppl who are more experienced in tournament matches. yet they still go this far just to fulfill the request of this poor lonely apex player
All that hype this channel did with her made me thinking that they'll managed at least on top 10 but no not even close, kinda anti climatic, that make me sad. Nevertheless well done for the effort. Thank you.
They definitely had some problem like the nerve getting into them? i mean they got 20th place twice and one of the two teams who didnt get single digit placement during the 5games
@@gladewings1192 From what I saw, all the other teams were much more cautious during the tournament compared to the scrims. This means they bunkered down and kept watch. Meanwhile, Startend traveled the map and kept finding themselves caught between teams that had already set up in the area.
@@gladewings1192 the nerve, and the lack of tactic to begin with. Never won a gunfight, the comms are bad, and never did a clean rotation. But Towa did get another 16th place, so moving onto the next tournament for her i guess.
@@errte7 it's the lack of coach (and single IGL) that proven to be fatal tbh. They're only tied with Met's team iirc, as the only two teams that never saw through the 3rd ring.
