They were told to avoid startend no matter what by their coach bobsappaim. Well, it worked really well they always placed higher since scrim day 4 till the tourney's day.
in old mmo's those are the most scary and strongest players usualy because its a pain to farm for those cosmetics, but those players tend to love the game the most and thus put in the most effort. ofcourse there is always the real money route.. but you know.. some random super cute avatar that is always just afk'n somewhere suddenly interferes in a pk and absolutly wrecking is something sometimes seen in older mmo's from 2008 and before.
well, generally that's what happen in most mmorpg late game content, you see char with whacky or super cute avatar destroying late game boss like no tomorrow
She may have her pon moments but she’s genuinely an incredibly skilled gamer, lots of newer fans haven’t heard of her achievements because they don’t get meme’d as much as the “Onion” “44.5” and “Baqua” ones.
lmao so Aqua is not only a Mad Dog, she is now also considered a *Demon Lord* level threat muahahaha! dang StartEnd really made one hell of a fearsome reputation amongst the participants, its so goooood XD
Anime critics: "Kirito is so fucking unrealistic, nobody could be that much better at games and be wanted by so many girls smh" Minato Aqua: "Huh? Why not? I never noticed."
Wow this is some high praise from Forte's team. IMO they were one of the favorites to win as they were pretty consistent on scrim, and they ALMOST won with that huge 21 kill game. Aqua did really pose a major threat to a lot of people. I think a lot of them get that she is probably the most mechanically skilled player on the lobby. Either way, it was an epic tournament! Looking forward to the next one.
@@nvb4388 The thing about Aqua is she's a skilled player with such aggressive playstyle so next thing you know she just wipe out your team out of nowhere especially in day1 scrim where Startend literally goes on a rampage in 15th place(9kills total) and the next game in 12th place(8kills total).
What's crazy is that StartEnd was kinda contained because of their Climatizer drop. They were surrounded by Gorilla, Neo Porte and Reid, meaning that every round they had to fight through at least 1 or 2 of what were some of the best teams in the tournament with some of the only people in the whole tournament like Gorilla and Reid who could take Aqua in a fair fight. That's why StartEnds result were so hit or miss. Either they were eliminated in 15-20th place by these teams or they finished Top 5 if they managed to beat them. It's just unfortunately the fights didn't go their way on tourney day. Which is what happens in BRs.
I've never played Apex and I just enjoy watching our Onyaon and Startend. I've heard that they were also extremely unlucky during the tournament, some said the ring was always sooo far away which was so harsh for them, is that true?
@@asdasd000 Not that the ring was far away but they did get extremely unlucky the first two rounds which I think broke their mental. They made an amazing rotation game 1 but by coincidence another team happened to drop at the same location at the exact time they landed and they got wiped. The other thing I will say is that StartEnd were playing in the worst meta imaginable for them. The strong point of their team is movement and aim. They were running a mobility comp pretty much. Meanwhile the entire lobby was running Crypto, Caustics and Watson that camp and lockdown an area which pretty much directly counters them since they can't aggressively take positions. They were fighting a super uphill battle.
Now that I see other clips of aqua in her opponent's perspective, I now understand when they say she's a scary opponent. She's got ridiculous accuracy in her aim that it's scary because you would just suddenly get shot at even from a far distance. Up close, she's using various movement techs the whole time without losing any of her accuracy and precision in her shots. It's actually scary to the point that it could give you ptsd, especially when facing her in 1v1.
I think the scariest part about Aqua is that she won't duel you on mid-long ranges. She will just pop out on your face all of a sudden while charging her devotion with or without a turbocharger. She surprises her enemies on super close ranges so that they can't fight back to her devotion, and that thing melts on seconds. LMAO and combine that with the terrible audio of the game you will never notice and even hear her coming XD
Aqua strafing all over the place while hitting her wingman shots in close quarter combat and medium range must be traumatizing to her opponents. When she rushes in with her devo too sliding while hip firing then strafing in and out, my God! 😱
Even if StartEnd lost, the reputation they built is still going to be my favourite thing coming out of the tournament. Basically, never 1v1 StartEnd and as much as possible Third Party them. I don't even play Apex but the exhilarating thrill of seeing people praise StartEnd is giving me chills
lmao, I can see it. If the ring was in Climatizer, ppl would be pointing at one of the buildings and saying ‘A demon lord is in that building (castle), enter at your own risk’.
@@maple_syrup22 the ring is in climatizer few times in scrim, mainly around 4th or 5th day. Startend doing good job defending until Astel disturb them and they rush out - accident in armor swap - wiped
They were probably referring to game 4 where Aqua farmed red armor off them. They were fleeing, Minase almost got knocked, and one of them said "the sound of footsteps is very close, Wraith is aggressively approaching for a kill!"
@@javalres9606 On the actual tournament. Looks like it's around 2:47:00 on Aqua's PoV. Can't really tell for sure cause no one got downed or anything to see the name but the location coincides and so does the legends as far as I can tell. Inu was the only one running Bloodhound iirc.
Team BATM was the neighbour that will always meet Startend if they didn't move off from thier spot early at the start of every round, since startend next loot/scout area planning was almost always BATM starting spot
Their landing place was close to Climatizer. There's this JP clip, after they were done looting they found Aqua (I think it's Aqua because she's so far away like a dot), running toward them and they were like "run run run!" And the girl Forte(?) was like "this is going to be a disaster, run! " Later I found out their coach put the fear Aqua into them.
Like for real tho. I kinda agree to what they are seeing. I mean, i also saw a strong and dark aura within Aqua's Wraith when I'm watching different POV. Like bruh, it is also what i see when i saw her Wraith Banner. Same goes to Towa too ngl.
Tbh StartEnd was actually a really scary team if you're fighting it in one on one squad battle without any third party, Also Akutan aim actually drop a little bit in the real tournament, I think it's bc she nervous, I think when the fourth game already over, She go to firing practice alone and start blasting every target board lol, About the dark aura on her wraith skin tho, she really want to become Kirito huh lol
Except on tourneys when they're only winning on 1 gunfight, yes. Let's see if they're frustrated enough, that they would try to compete in another event.
yea, pretty sure she was really nervous and pressured. Seeing the 3rd game portal totally feels it, also 1st game where they fly straight into zone with all 19 teams still around.
@@Faneseishin Well third party will always happen in the tournament bc it's one of the strategy too annihilate enemy team, and for decision making I don't really know about that because there no such thing as perfect decision making, matsuri team who have an experience in tournament actually making a really good rotation and replacing in some of the match but end up getting destroy by one team soo I don't really trust about the whole decision making, about the Valkyrie ult I agree, StartEnd team doesn't prepare themselves for instant battle when landing in certain area, plus the ring is pretty unfortunate for them in every match tho bc of how long their need to go there to take a good spot.
Ngl you can real feel.. and see the difference between Aqua before and now... Ive been looking forward to the day she comes back and stream apex again.. I thought she had an apex burnt out or something but she actually did an offline training arc all this time... She can do a solo Pred if she really wanted to
Yea im kinda agree , only aqua wraith skin is different, miyako want that aqua wraith skin too, she ask hinano if she used that skin maybe she can play like aqua.
One thing Im really amazed with Aqua is how fast she improved with wingman, she tried it on her solo master challenge and immediately drop it. Now people are praising her wingman is really something.
@@hyuufly but I have seen Yorumi Rena with the same devo, she cant land all her shots because in close range tracking moving enemy is difficult. And then I saw Vgorilla doing better, but still miss some. Compared to peak Aqua who destroy one and half player with one clip.
it's surprising how Aqukinmaster wraith on certain fights could approach enemy with completely silent footsteps and caught other player off guard. Aqukin quite dangerous and aggressive player who kill enemy's team to the last soul, that's what terrified others. but sadly that's all about Aqua, as for the luck seems not on Startend side at the last day of tourney. it's also sad that Aqua strongly consider this tourney as her first and last participation in Apex custom match. tho the coaches and several player recognize her skill 😔. so, no take backs. unless there's a miracle.
