Those two words are basically the same. A translator might choose one or the other(edit) out of curiosity I just looked in my jp dictionary and both of those jp words have fate and destiny in their English translations. I googled fate vs destiny (in English) and some people argue that destiny implies more influence by ones actions although I see them used interchangeably frequently. I'll have to ask a jp about the nuance between 運命 and 因縁 someday
