Looking to tone and strengthen your whole body using no equipment in the pool? This complete workout does just that. AquaFIIT Coach Stacy will show you how to stay right next to our pool wall and use it to increase our resistance and take up our intensity. A variety of creative wall exercises will be done so that we build muscle, burn calories, and shape up our bodies. No equipment necessary, just your own body weight. Not a lot of space needed, so can be done while others are in the pool. Just set up by the side and get ready to move. So happy to have you aboard with us as we keep fit. Yes, the pool is a great place to reduce risk of injury...so much more than with land based exercise. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your videos. I learn so much from them. I have just started teaching aqua fitness classes and have been literally thrown into the deep end :-) . Your videos not only show a huge variety of exercises and ways to use equipment but also provide extremely helpful hints, tips, and variations for all levels. I think this has become one of my most favorite of your workouts. I have developed neuropathy so I am really trying to be careful about what workouts I do so that I’m not numb when I get out of the pool. I do your workouts every summer as soon as my pool gets to be 80°. keep up the good work please.

One year later- we still love this Wall exercise. We feel no need for timings of 30-20-10 sec. This one has a great flow and warm up and cool down.

Stacy, in addition to my physical therapy I’d like to add a workout in the pool. I’m a senior and just beginning. Where should I start, you have so many videos?

I am 34 year old female. I have never done any workouts before (other than walking 😬). I have weak knees and it’s hard for me to do lots of the regular workouts. Would it be okay if I did this workout 3 days/week. And did some walking on the other days. Would this be helpful to strength my whole body muscles ?

Hi! If you haven't ever worked out before, it is best to ask this question to your doctor. They will be the best guide of what you should and shouldn't do. Typically, water workouts are safer on the joints and a great choice to strengthen the knees. Just start small and work up your intensity and time as you progress.

This was an awesome workout. Can you tell me if the running shoes you wear are specifically for water aerobics or are they regular running shoes?

Hi Santina, thanks for your comment. The shoes I wear are specifically made for aqua wearing. These type of shoes are made to hold up to the water better than normal land shoes. I like both Ryka and Saguaro. I did a review on the Saguaro bit.ly/YTBPaddleshoes where you can see more about an aqua shoe, if you'd like. Wearing shoes on wall workouts is highly recommended. Hope that helps. :-)

Hi Rosa, thanks for your question. If your doctor is okay with you adding aqua exercises, you may want to start with this one: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K48Rx3ijMOo.html . I walk you thru exercises to help introduce you to pool aerobics and it is a complete workout with warm up and stretch. This one is an hour long and uses a pool noodle. If you are looking for something shorter duration and no equipment, then you can try one of my earlier workouts: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-hgU3xTxCwBA.html . I do give intensity options in all my workouts so that most of them can be done by a beginner. And one other thing, if you are new to water exercise, you can use no equipment for the workouts and just follow along. Whatever you do, just move to a level that is challenging but feels appropriate to you and rest as needed. Listen to your body and follow the directions of your PT or physician so that you are doing what is right for your body and not causing any injury.
