The aquarium hobby usually starts with a smaller tank. This 60cm-wide planted aquarium is a good start for beginning aquascapers to try their skills in keeping aquarium plants. In this video, we're presenting you a special idea of having Tripartita as a front cover, in a tank inspired by Mr. Takashi Amano, mixing it with some Taiwan moss as a natural contrast.

This tank is beautiful but also accessible to those newer to aquascaping. The plant choices are very easy to grow with CO2 and decent lighting. Moss, Hygrophila Pinnatifida, and Hydrocotyle Tripartita all grow like weeds in a decent 'high tech' setup. The nice thing about the two stem plants is they both send out roots everywhere and form natural transitions throughout the scape. Just need to keep up with maintenance so they don't go absolutely wild =P. Also, great notes about how to approach aquascaping as a beginner. Edit: Just noticed i wrote 'grow like weeds' twice in one sentence. Oops

Is it possible to grow S repens and hydrocotyle without co2 Everywhere in the net it says you need co2 but people have grown them with out co2 any advice thanks 🙏

Tropictank Hi guys, I have a question about photoperiod. If my aquarium gets indirect light in my room for 4 hours and I leave the lamp on for 8 hours, will my photoperiod be 8h or 12h? count only the time of luminaire lit, or all the time of luminosity, whatever it is?

The hardest part at the beginning to came up with something. You stress yourself, you do not have all the info in hand. Plants may will look completely different than you imagined. Copying a layout solve many of these issues, meanwhile, you need to focus on only one thing. Follow the ingredients and build it the same way. You will learn a lot by doing it, so next time you will have less stress to build your own and you will know a lot more about scaping at all. 😊👍

Hello guys, I really like this video,maybe even one of your best! The laid-back, easy go vibe is just great, especially with the music that you used. Liked that you've shown us a bit of the surroundings and nature in your area. Also I love this tank, small and simple but beautiful. A good aquascape does't always have to be large. The Hydrocotyle Tripartita looks great in combination with the moss and a few Pinnitifida. Amano would have liked it I think! I got this Tripartita in my 55 litres scaper's tank, where it sometimes is a pain in the but 😉 It's runners grow everywhere, even in my inflow sometimes. However I do like it, it's a beautiful plant. Looking forward to see your new layout projects and curious who you guys have invited. Maybe George or maybe someone else this time? Can't wait to see it! Oh and just wondering if Victor will be at Vivarium all weekend? I think I'll be there on saturday, excited to see the VIP battle! Keep on scaping guys, enjoy your weekend and talk to you soon!

Keeping planted tanks is a hobby for laid-back people, it teaches patience. Because of that I think the relaxed vibe suits it really well. About Vivarium, I think it will be a real cool event this year, best sofar. The organisation has found a new location this time. I've been here before and it's a beautiful place. Also it has grown a bit bigger, more companies and interesting competitions. So yes, I'm looking forward to it too! Hope to see you guys there!

Cheers Pete, nothing special with that plant. Not so demanding. You can try Tropica liquid tissue version next. That may settle in the easiest. As potted ones could lose all leaf after planting.

We love bonsai! One of our owners family members are bonsai experts. So no need to go far to get help on this. Also, we have a very good relationship with one of the best Bonsai company here (Marczika). It just takes a little more time and may need more space too. But i agree this is another great hobby. :)

Tripartita is an amazing emersed plant. If you are struggling to grow it in your tank - start it in a damp tub first.

@@GreenAquaShop i stil have one question for my 74l tank is running wel fish are healthy .do i need a CO2tank like u have for example this tank you beatifull made ? The plants for example are healthy but like the Anubias Bertus the bigger size have some dark spots and the nana some little alghy ?I reduced the led lichting from 10 to 8 hours for nou .i would love to know your opinion?😊👌👍

What's the reason for using ADA ferts vs. GreenAqua ferts? I also love ADA LED lights, they're the most professional gears available indeed (I use an older version of this - many thanks Viktor for the power supply replacement, it's been working fine ever since).

Hey thanks for your words, also thanks to letting us know about the adapter. Always great to hear that! :) On ferts we're using ADA to slow down a little the growth and make it more manageable with a smaller team. With EI plants would grow like 2-3 times faster and we probably would need a larger staff too and continuous maintenance to keep up with that :) We still doing that many times, but here the goal is to do nice and slow :)

Hi John, thanks for your feedback. Hey Black Friday is coming so maybe it will be even more reasonable :) But within the nice quality lights, this is reasonable in some ways. And absolutely unique with its green style look. I easily can say green looks the best under this light compare to any other lights under 500EUR now.

There's no way to prevent that completely. But what we noticed is that if you have good quality water, places to hid, you don't choose types that are known to be jumping, and you don't overpopulate your tank, then you'll have only very few losses.

how do you remove the biofilm from this small tank? id assume the surface skimmer would be quite unsightly and obvious in such a small tank.

Yup skimmers are usually not nice in a small aquarium like this, but there are no other options. Well maybe the built in skimmer filter pipes from glass or acrylic. We do use skimmer here on demand.

Hi ,, how do you make your plants pearl and grow denser and what do you do if the fertilizer in the substrate completely deplete ,, I use co2 and liquid fertilizer ,, now the fertilizer in amazonia soil I use has completely depleted ,, so what should I do ,, And please guide me though to achieve a successful planted aquarium 🙏🙏🙇🙇

If hydrocotyle starts to grow really you need to trim it every 2nd weeks or so.

Gear for 2000€, really afordable for begginers. That's like 2 moths avgerage or 4/5 months minimum salary in Poland. Looks fancy though

Yeah, well, you can always do a smaller tank with a less fancy equipment, there are stages to this hobby - as with everything. I think it is more important to think of the layout and the biology and see how much you are willing to spend for it, or how much you are willing to wait, or how much you are willing to compromise. You can build it in steps too. I'm sure you'll be fine in the long run. Good luck with your tank, and hope you'll like our other videos too. Cheers.

Well, not all plants will survive without CO2, but there are some that will, check out the CO2 tutorial and the plant tutorials, as well as the low-tech scape videos on this channel. Water can be good, you need to test it though for hardness and other nutrients to be sure. Check out our water parameters viceo.

I have tested mountain water by using a 20 watt lamp and then the algae on the glass or on the rocks so much, how do you master how to deal with these algae, how come you can cause a lot of hair algae, what from the lamp?

Is co2 dissolved faster in ro water? That's why you guys use ro for water changes

Need l a little less CO2 in soft water. But this isn't the case why we're using RO. Plants just grow and thrive better in soft water. Nurseries grows them in rain water for this reason. Healthier plants, less maintenance, better appearance this is why we're using RO.

Why was an ES600 used on this tank? Isnt it apt for a 90P?

600ES is made for 60P tanks. Would be super weak for 90P. For that we’re using ES1200

Is a surface skimmer really necessary? In the ADA gallary in japan they dont even use a skimmer on all of the tanks

Yes that’s true but 3 things here: 1. They use aeration with lily pipes overnight 2. They have a larger maintenance crew to do this every day or do water change anytime in between regular water changes if needed. 3. The gallery is closed on weekdays and only open for weekends. We’re open every day. So it is not a must, but helps us to be better with smaller maintenance crew for daily operations and only weekly water change.

So do you use it mostly for extra o2 in the aquarium (insted of raising the lily pipes every night) ? Or to get rid of surface scum? Because I thought the small "water tornado vortex" lily pipe outflow creates is enought to get rid of surface scum. I'm trying to figure out if I really need to buy lily inflow with or without skimmer built in, for my next nano tank.

Lily pipes will not solve your problem until you raise it above the water overnight. But doing this on 10+ aquariums at closing and opening every day 365 days a year..... :) it is something we would not like to do. We use the skimmer to get rid the scum only.

What is GH, kh , and pH should b in the planted fish tank ?

Ranges could be different in different scenarios. But for us GH and kH is super low. pH is 6.1-6.6 depend on how fresh is the aquarium. The beginning the soil pulls down the pH more.
